Ah. I have the original but don’t plan to wade a stream. I appreciate the clarification.

That’s excellent to hear. I hadn’t tried that with mine.

Smaller venue? Large rowdy crowds or sedate? I’d not want to change lenses in a rowdy crowd. Distances to the action matter a lot in making the evaluation.

Have you tried the mindshift rotation series packs? I have an older model (30L). I find the rotating part is a good compromise for getting to the main gear if the lenses frequently accessed aren’t ...

I’m a freak. I like my FE 28/2. I find it small and light and I like the general rendering. It isn’t razor sharp across the frame wide open - that’s true.

I’ve shot hobby rockets lifting off at 300mph with 10fps - I don’t know if 15fps is a major limitation.

I once flew to Europe with a 40+ lb bag on my back. I didn’t even know there was a weight limit and got away with it. The bag was filled with two laptops spare usb battery packs, tablets, phones a ...

While you say you are a Sony purist, The Tamron 17-28 might be just what you need. It falls between the Sony 20/1.8 (373g) and 16-35/2.8 (680g) in weight at 420g. This doesn’t give you more light, ...
