Scottelly: I wonder if this lens will work on a Nikon 1 V2 with Nikon's FT1 mount adapter. THAT would be cool. Add the Nikon 6.7-13mm VR lens, and you'd have a great two-lens kit. The 1" 2.7x crop would make this lens equivalent to a 43.2-810mm f3.5-5.6, and the photos might be pretty sharp, since it would only be the central area of the frame that would be captured.

@Henrik: f5.6 IS INDEED f5.6!!!
check ur facts before writing! -_-

Nikon with 18-300 and Canon 18-200 just got owned. :)

have you ever missed a chance to READ IT ALL?
He mentioned Canon, that as anyone knows by reading it is in WAY WORST SITUATION!!!
About quality just see the tests made at the second version of the 28-200 and even the 18-250 from Tamron and start to cry comparing with 30 or 40years old fixed nikon lenses!!!
OR...DON´T LET FACTS GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR ARGUMENTS!!!

It is completely pointless to say ANYthing here since it will NOT CHANGE NOTHING!!! :/

Cane, i understand that your too high level of testosterone will make it harder to grasp the reality of (these) things, but when you are whining like a... as they so correctly say in your country, you are just that: ONE MORE ON THE BEACH!!!
AND A VERY GOOD DAY TO YOU TOO!!! :D

Cane: All of you people whining about it being for US residents only, how many of you would actually apply? 2%? You are all the same people that said the theta was a stupid camera anyway when it was announced. Most of you just like to b!tch about something, anything.

My God, if you read the comment section of EVERY SINGLE NEWS TOPIC IN DPR, it is nothing but whining, complaining. I cant' even imagine what you people must be like in the real world. Has anyone ever seen a single DPR news topic comment section that wasn't just one complaint after the next on the topic? Ever, once? And yes, I am now complaining about the complainers, because you people drive me to this insanity.

PERFECT RANT Dyoon!!! XD

TomasJacko: Amazingly interesting item reviewed, thank you, but:

It seems to have slipped your mind, today again, to put online your - I'm certain long ready - review of Canon 1DX.

Such absent-mindedness must be annoying also in ordinary life, am I not right?

Really, do think of it tomorrow, ok? It's just one click..

BAUTIFULLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :D
THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!!!! :D

In reply to:

samfan: I pity anyone who uses the original strap that came with the camera and doesn't know better. Those straps prove the camera manufacturers have just contempt for their users. So uncomfortable they might as well be made of chains and poison ivy, but of course, with a huge colorful logo or several.

ignore the trolls Samfan! :D

Jogger: £549.99 = DOA

I like that they make then available! and that they are GOOD overall in every way, but just like canon and nikon, many of the others try to ALSO go crazy with the prices! I still remenber when you didn't have to pay a fortune to get a decent f1.4 lens!!! :L
And please nobody say nothing about the advantage of weather resistant new lenses because as Roger Cicala said: it is pretty much a bad joke on the part of every manufacturer!!! But they still MAKE YOU PAY FOR IT!!! 4TAPE THAT IS!
sick!

Cal22: The Pixpro S-1 is for the 4/3-system, they say, and that's an information on sensor size. We may assume, that the camera has the same lens mount Olympus and Panasonic use - but may we be certain?

and so, they MUST cover the sensor full size!!! X)

In reply to:

Marty4650: I think we should remember that the Kodak "legacy" isn't for making high end cameras.

Their legacy was always "cameras for the masses" like the Brownies, 126 and 110 Instamatics, Disc cameras, etc. While they did occasional produce a high end camera, their main goal was make photography easy and affordable. So these Kodak branded cheapies might fit right in.

These are probably aimed at emerging third world markets.

i do mostly agree with you Marty!
However Kodak also made most of the best FF 35mm sensors in the planet, and... also some of the best and most famous MEDIUM FORMAT ONES! And i am sure you will not call those "easy and affordable", will you? ;)

Have a very good weekend!
