Nice capture - and RAW and DxO Deep Prime I think could make it look very nice even zoomed in?

Hi These don't shout defect to me - a lens torture test in bright conditions back lit - I have seen so much worse even from Sigma Art and Canon L lenses. Not much is in focus and the leaves which ...

+1 Starting at 24mm it cover some very useful focal length - the APSC equivalents starting at 18mm for the R7/R10 critically miss out on wide angle. It should be smaller and potentially better IQ ...

Ok yes.... But uber-stretched out corners translates to extra loss of details beyond this as Christopher Frost shows for the 24-105 and 24-240. Now I do own and quite like the 16mm which has tons ...

I might just buy it - if optically good in the corners and not super reliant on digital correction. I'm mostly either a telephoto, macro or stopped down landscape photographer - I very rarely use ...

It is. Only downside I noted was purple fringing wide open on a demanding 5DSR - so suspect worse on a R7 or 90D

Yes - even if it is a lowly RP on a zoom - the Tanzanian herds are amazing as is landscape. You dont want to fiddle around changing lenses. Sounds like an amazing trip - enjoy!

R5 yep - about 1.38 or equiv to a ~1.4X TC by my basic arithmetic. Significant I'd say. and if you downsize to 24MP not far off the high ISO performance. Works very nicely with DxO deep prime. T ...

I think it depends a little which national park(s) you are going to - and if you can get off road or not. Ngorongoro crater is strictly on road only - and the black rhinos in particular can be ...

Yes certainly with respect to auto focus and speed - the R10 is excellent. Small improvement and not very significant in IQ over the m50ii - and notable over 70D. Works seamlessly with EF-S lenses.

Would your wife notice - as long as the number of cameras in the cupboard did not increase? E.g. RP quietly sold on and replaced with a R6II?
-
Do feel you need an R3 R2....
-
Hi Nice capture. It does look soft on the left hand side - not just the usual corners softness? Tilt or de-centering a bit perhaps in the lens?
-
-
Cracking camera the R10 - really like mine. Yes R5 handles nicer and better in so many ways - but I can pick up the R10 after using the R5 and use it seamlessly with great controls and AF. A ...

Yes - had one for years. Razor sharp wide open bare lens. OK even wide open with 1.4X TC and nice with a little sharpening. It is with the 1.4X TC that you see the difference with the mark ...

Interesting - and looking at this shot all bar the very far 4 corners disastrous at f/8 - so if a 7x5 aspect crop - or shoot at 17mm for a 18mm ~ 40MP image, looks fine.

Hi Have you tried DXO Photolab and DeepPrime on the Olympus system? It works so much better for high ISO shots on Canon - it might just resolve possible issues on M43 with noise and detail for you. ...
-
That's great DXO is still adding cameras to old versions - never had that in the Adobe days when one could buy a copy of lightroom

Dipped(lightly) a 70-200 f/2.8 IS II in dry sand - carefully blew it off with a blower. The zoom ring was crunchy for a good while after that
