Polaroid should release a mobile printer that allows you to print from your camera or phone onto polaroid film.

This is easily the best thing I've ever seen on dpreview.

I'd bet all or most of the folk here that have a problem with this feature are white and male. I'm always amazed that white people think they understand race and what it means to be a person of color.

I hope dpreview knows that this is an appropriate story to feature and I hope they do more of it even if you have to turn off comments or something. As a person of color, I can tell you features like this are important and more of it is needed even if the heote folk around here don't get it.

Christop82: Does everything have to be broken down into race and gender? Can't there just be photographers?

Let me guess: you're white and male?

majorpaul: Having an a99ii, I don't feel jealous of this:)

And you shouldn't. You saved a chunk of money and got a body they'll take photos just as good as the a9. I can't imagine why anyone would drop 4500 on this outside of pros that do a specific thing.

Jorginho: Let's look at the history of Panasoonic here::
- 28 august 2013: they were clear they would stop selling phones for the consumer market and were looking for companies to make it over.
- 31 may 2016: Paansonic announced stopping producing TV panels. So that is after their annual report. In october they showed a new OLED TV, so outsourcing does not equal stopping.
- October 2013: they stopped selling plasma TVs. But not TVs.
- 21 July 2016: stopped selling VCRs.

Merging divisions:
- march 27 2014 they would merge Cons electronics division with IT division, Financial Times, said that cons electr were in their DNA but things were changing etcetc.

I have seen no consumer product like washing machines etc dropped...

In short it seems they announce mostly in march and the final result (getting rid of something) comes 3-6 months later.

But unlike Samsung they are very clear when they stop or not. To this moment it is wait and see.

They were making vcrs in 2016?

creepy.sol: i wonder how this news would sounds if samsung still made cameras. it's hard to hear that panny is simply scaling back, because it they were going to shutdown production it's not like they'd simply announce it. so it's hard really believe this isn't cause for concern. but i really hope it isn't. i love m43!

maybe. but remember this?

Hinder: Do people actually care what their camera accessories look like? C'mon, if you're carrying a bunch of camera crap, the first strike, you're a nerd and at strike two in the fashion department because you're wearing a camera or a bag, this would be strike three, kinda like dressing your poodle in a tutu.

He made an asset of himself weekly on the apprentice. Popular show. My reference makes sense without his campaign. But again...you can't see beyond your own opinions. Seriously, are you Donald trump?

You're aware that Trump existed and was famous before he ran for president, right? Not bringing in politics, just highly the stupid.

Mike FL: The body of this thing with small sensor seems LARGER than SONY Full frame camera.

Anyway, small sensor big body.

do you use your cameras w/ lenses attached? i sure do. take a sony a7rii with a 24-70 attached and compare it to the m43 equivalent. much smaller, significantly lighter.

TheDarmok74: Olympus and Panasonic continue to deliver great new lens choices, but the image quality is still trailing behind the competition.
Sony continue to push boundaries in IQ and AF but seem not to care about lenses.
Won't that ever change?

Your comment doesnt make sense. MFT isnt about matching FF IQ, so saying that MFT lags behind is like criticizing cherry pie for not being savory.

On article Have your say: Best prime lens of 2016 (152 comments in total)

If the poll is based solely on popularity, then it's wildly unfair. For example, if a manufacturer builds an incredible lens for a system used by only a small slice of the market, that lens could be the best but will be killed in a popularity contest.

Almost $600 street? I'm surprised there's a market for this. You've got to really want ttl and need sealing. I'll pass.
