  • A few days ago. Took the time to reconnect all relevant folders though, so hard to see how this would slow things down. This is damned perplexing.
  • Moved them by dragging folders from Mac HD to EHD. Drive is the orange Lacie model that everyone seems to have. Not sure of speed (how do I check that?) Connecting through thunderbolt.
  • Created discussion thread LR slow after moving photos to EHD
Hi. Posted this in the general forum and was advised to repost here. I moved all my photo files to an EHD because that was suggested as a wise move. Now LR is moving very very sluggishly. Running ...
  • Must admit to not understanding a lot of this talk. Is SSD my internal HD? The drive is the infamous orange Lacie drive. Not sure what ratings are on it, but I will look that up. Maybe it's just a ...

  • Also, that Degas quote is one of the most helpful, insightful things I've come across in a long time. What a great way to think about art...
  • Thank you all so much for the replies. Maybe my question is more about exposure in general. If we take ETTR out of the equation entirely, I guess I'd still be left wondering what to do when a scene ...
  • I like manual because it makes more sense to me than dealing with AE lock. I'd rather lock my own exposure and then live or die by the results. I make lots of mistakes. I like mistakes. It means ...
  • Created discussion thread ETTR question #1,001
When we talk about exposing to the right, do we really mean to expose the subject to the right? I’m new to the ETTR concept and new to shooting manual. I’m super-excited about the new ...
