For those of you wondering why there is no shift feature, it is because it is an optical design limitation. This lens uses the age old double gauss lens design, which almost every 35mm film SLR...

Good information. Thank you.

Good to know. Thank you. Do all the earlier models have floating element design? If not, which do?

Unfortunately I am not looking into the EF version as I will not be able to stop down the lens (in the normal fashion), as my adapter is of the dumb variety. Very interesting that you prefer the ...

Thank you. This is interesting as most seem to prefer the concave version over anything else. I will look into the F2.8 version as well.

Thank you. I did not realize there were o many different versions. I will need to read up about them. Do you know if any have the same optical scheme? Was the warm color shift due to the ...

Thank you for your insight. The concave version seems to be very good according to reviews. The price also reflects that. I will try to look for a used one, when possible.

Now I have another issue regarding T-mount. I have received the T-mount adapters and it works out quite well. Since the T-mount adapters are adjustable via inner threads, it works out well since ...

I have spotting scopes and a microscope that use T-mount. I also have multiple Preset lenses, as well as catadioptric lenses which all use the T-mount. I don't know much about telescopes and ...

That is a interesting idea. However, I ended up buying multiple T-mount adapters that came with their own rear caps. Ended up being more affordable than buying the push on caps. Thanks.
