Placed 12^th in the challenge. What is the fingerprint in humans is the shape of the nose in gorillas. Diane Fossey was already able to clearly identify "her" gorillas on the basis of this characteristic feature. This collage was created during a visit to the mountain gorillas in the Virunga Mountains of Rwanda.

Placed 30^th in the challenge. I was on my way to the crane resting place in the Diepholzer Moorniederung, a very beautiful moor area in the north of Germany. There are up to 50,000 cranes resting there, also a lot of ducks and geese.

Placed 21^st in the challenge. The pheasant is native to Asia and parts of Europe like the northern foothills of the Caucasus and the Balkans. It has been widely introduced elsewhere as a game bird, this one was shot (sic!) on a small island in the northern sea, wangerooge. It is the state-bird of South Dakota.
