On photo blue heron in a golden sky in the Golden hour photos challenge (2 comments in total)
In reply to:

Jey350: Weird, why can't we see the Heron in reflection ?

Good question. I went back to look at the photo and there was actually a sequence of 4 or 5 that I took. The reflection only showed up in one of the images at the very bottom of the in the case of this photo, the reflection would have shown up if there was just a little more space at the bottom of the photo when I took it.

On photo after the rain in the Peeping Beauty, (flowers just opening) challenge (1 comment in total)

this photo was taken against a natural background; I just
got low and shot it against the sky, which was very foggy early
morning, shot with a flash, creating the effect.

In reply to:

whisky: Nice shot, well on theme, pity you got sandbagged otherwise it would have done even better.

That's DPR voters for you !!

thanks for your kind words.

It is true that some (too many?) of the DPR voters, because they cannot vote favorably for their own photo, take the photos of others and knock them down to help their own cause. These are many of the same people who probably withdraw their entries after the voting is done because they cannot stand what others have said after seeing the voting on their own images. Can you say ironic?
