I doubt that it’s a shutter problem. It looks normal to me given the subject and focal length. What ever app you used to create the panorama did a lousy job smoothing the images together.

Exposure X3 will solve the LR issue with the catalog. You files can be anywhere. And no bloated catalog slowing things down as to add images to a bookmarked folder.
