I was hoping that they would be no bigger than the 35mm F1.8 DX lens. The fact that there is no mirror box and no fancy zoom mechanism to get in the way should give them an advantage to make them ...

Could it be that the Nikon is auto correcting the CA with its inbuilt correction and the Viltrox doesn't? Also wonder how the Viltrox compares with the Nikon 85mm F1.8G lens

Well if they can sell a 50mm F1.8 AF-S which has a metal mount and comes with hood for £209 I would have thought they could do a 40mm F2.0 or F2.8 for around the £299.. Time will tell.
-
For that would be equal to £399 to £ £449 in the UK. Which I think is a bit much. Given that a 50mm F1.8 AS-S is only £209 on Nikons UK website. With the shorter flange distance it should be ...

I am curious how these will be priced. Hopefully not too expensive. If they are going to be compact they may have a low element count which may keep the cost down. I would prefer a max aperture ...

I have a Nikon Z6 and I wished they had kept the option of a 5x4 format. Also the option of not automatically selecting DX crop when a DX lens was fitted. I used a 17x55mm F2.8 on my D800 with ...

I have the Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 and it performs great on my Nikon Z6. A good solid lens. I sold my Sigma 50mm Art F1.4 to buy the Nikon 50mm F1.8. Z mount. I wish I had kept it. If I was going to ...

I know that I was just pointing out the fact that that if he uses a DX lens on his Z6 he will have images of 10Mp instead of 24Mp.
-
Also bear in mind if you use DX lenses you will only be using around 10Mp of the sensor.

Maybe you could adjust the colour balance of the viewfinder/monitor. Page 298/299 of the Reference Manual

1. 28 or 35 /2.8 2. 70-200/4

Have you turned on vibration on in the video menu. That may help

Hi Leonard, How would you rate that lens? I see a lot of secondhand ones for sale in LCE. Could you recommend an alternative?

Looking for a bit of advice. I am in the UK and am looking for something wider than my nikon 24-70 F4 S lens. Now I am looking for something that I could use on my Z6 and also my D800. Now a ...

Remember that unless you have set the exposure to use a wider aperture than F5.6 the camera will set the aperture to F5.6 for focusing. So if your are going to shoot at F8,F11 or F16 the camera ...

28mm pancake lens £300 / £350 4. 40mm pancake lens £200 / £250 The reason for these prices is the fact that Canon produces a very good 40mm 6 element 5 group pancake lens at around £200. A small ...

Could it be the fact that if you are shooting, say an F1.8 lens at an aperture f5.6 and smaller such as F8 F11 F16 the camera will set the aperture at F5.6 for focusing and therefore putting ...

I just checked a couple of my NEFs from Jan this year and focus point shows. I have View NXi version 1.4.2 on an iMac

Maybe stating the obvious, but have you got "Show Focus Points " selected in the Image dropdown in View NX-i ?
