The upscaling "myth" comes from a single Youtube video where a person with an oldish mac running heavy video processing. On a modern mac this is no problem whatsoever. I'm running a Mac M2 Studio ...

Very nice picture indeed. But I guess those are ravens, right?

Then this may in fact be OP:s problem, right?

I meant Apple file system versus FAT, but likely it will not make a difference. I always reformat external drives to an Apple FS in the hope of getting better performance.
-
Could it be that disks have to be Apple-formatted for Time Machine to read them?
-
Indeed this works for me. Just go to Time Machine settings and click the external drive as part of your backup. IIRC externals are off by default.

A local store in Sweden has it in stock and had for quite a while. Not that it helps you I guess... https://www.kameradoktorn.se/Kameradoktorn/Nikon/Z-objektiv/Z-objektiv_for_FX-kameror/Fasta_objek ...

Indeed I found the update to help acquiring focus on small birds as well as larger (sitting ducks). BIF seemed to work more snappy as well, even at a distance.

I have never heard of RAID being able to do anything like that. Sounds like you want a backup software. Apple's Time Machine does it of course.

What kind of computer? The studio screens are known to work poorly with Windows computers. No modern Mac takes NVIDIA cards as far as I know.

I am trying to print photos to my Canon Pro-200 printer but all my prints come out too dark. I installed an icc profile for a fine art paper (Canson Infinity, https://www.canson-infinity.com/en ) ...

Very happy I held on to my Z7 after I got the Z8. That Z8 I was going to take on a 10 day hiking vacation with two lenses. But then the recall came and I took my trusty Z7 instead. So keep the Z7 ...

Although bird migration is of course much more important for the well-being of the planet than sports, it happens every year. Twice! It would be way too expensive to update lenses twice a year :-)
