Riccardo Polini: It would be interesting to see some side-by-side comparison with the 50/1.8 Z (same subject, same framing, same lighting, same aperture).
How will you shoot the 1.8 at 1.2? That test does not make sense. If you want 1.2 you need to pay!
apsc4ever: Respect, but i do not like the style or hmm can't really lay my finger on it, but it looks like forcing to be in a certain photographic art way of doing like i have seen this before in the days. Not refreshing.
Oh I checked it out. U haven’t uploaded anything.

Really??? Publish your stuff. I’d like to see if u can do better. He is awesome.
WiltshireMoonraker59: Yet another pointlessly expensive camera from Leica that probably 80-90% of the population could never justify buying or even afford but hey lets keep the Leica hype going.
Yes, some people are not put off by price. It’s what makes the world go around. Not saying it’s me but there are choices.
I’m interested in it for my Leica M lenses. I had an M10 that I just couldn’t get used to. I pre-ordered and will replace my film M6 and Panasonic s1r with the SL2 s. I think it looks great. My s1r was not very good with the M lenses. As far as the cost if the Lee’s expensive cameras worked with the M lenses then I might not purchase the Leica, but the again the Leica is really nice to handle.
Akpinxit: sorry for lack of inthusiasm but surly this gimick flight could be executed with any other camera (Z7 , a9 ...) with very similar IQ results
no need to over-praise the Sigma
True but Sigma partnered on the flight, not Canon or Nikon.
Roland Karlsson: I like buttons and wheels. So - this user interface do not appeal to me.
Or you have a lot of M lenses.
liopleurodon: Why would you ever choose this over an a7R IV unless you had a big stack of M lenses?
If everyone liked the same things then life would be boring. You would not be responding to a camera review trying to get others to believe what you perceive is the best.
BTW, expensive watches really hold their value, If you have the money and like watches, why not?
kobakokh: with Leica's lens it will give to photographers probably a best quality image, toooooo expensive but best quality... Leica's FF rangefinder cameras are for museums, not good (i have one), but lenses are also probably the top on market...
I completely agree with you. I also had an M240 and an M10. Both built to last 100 years with not so good sensors. I was hoping to use my M lenses which I love. Maybe with the new Panasonic.
This camera is not for everyone. Some people don't mind spending 8K on a camera that they like to shoot with. It is simple as that. Everyone does not drive an expensive car or spend money on expensive vacations. To each his own.
You can't judge this camera on pics posted on dpreview.
Leica makes great lenses and the M is the best camera to use for those lenses.
It would be boring if everyone used the same camera.
(unknown member): This camera is best used with a Rolex. There are much better uses for the money than an expensive show piece. Certainly there are better cameras for the price.
A Rolex does not depreciate like a Leica.
Aleksandr Reznik: As i do such types of gigpixels quite often - this one looks very amateurish to me.
The vertical lines not vertical.
Strange distortion on people faces - what was the projection used? feels like it was done with adobe photoshop Photomerge - tool for beginners which doesn't have any settings (like choosing right projection and setting the verticals)
The building is blurry - looks it was manual focus (i always use autofocus for such panos)
The balcony and people below taken not at the same time... i solve it by using two cameras- balcony would be shoot by my assistant at the same time i shooting people- we would put cameras 0,5m away - so not a big deal to fix parallax while combining these shoots
Yes, I would love to see your published works
Protogonus1: The Oben CT-3535 Folding Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with BE-208T Ball Head is cheaper by far, especially when it goes on sale at B&H, is lighter than many, and folds down to an unmatchable 12.5 in. This Oben tripod is strong, beautifully sculpted, and highly adjustable. I love mine. Recommended for small cameras, of course; plenty strong for compact mirrorless cameras of all types. Made in China but doesn't look or feel cheap at all. Comes in a nice case.
Please relax and lower your blood pressure
Kurt Haerting: steam-punk kitsch with no advantage whatsoever - except that some stupid geeky customers might fall for it ...
Yeah!!!!!! Angry man.
AlwaysLiveView: You said, "differences (and similarities) between them all."
You should have said, "differences and similarities among them."
Thanks
rsf3127: Or pay 900 USD for a Sony A7 and have similar (not identical, though) IQ for a fraction of the price.
But then you would not have that Leica look.
