For the cost of the cameras these days... $150 is petty indeed. "Here is your car, but the key will cost you $150". That screams desperate too. Mind you, Sony used to have 100% of the FF mirrorless...

As one example... Nikon already has timelapse, multiple exposure and gridlines included. And huge firmware updates... for free.

I wonder if they'll throw in their bitcoin mining machine for that price.

Just to give an idea of potential size.

Agreed. I’ve owned every iteration of Nikon 70-200 in the past 20 years and they all eventually got sold from lack of use. Whether it was the 85 1.4 D and G or 105 1.4E or now the Z 85 1.8, I just ...

:-D Yes. I’m not a collector. I only keep what I know will get used regularly. That goes for lenses too.

@milkod2001... what Nikon lenses do you think are missing? They have 14-800 covered natively. They have Tamron's 2.8 trinity rehoused in Nikon skin. Tamron 35-150 and 70-300 For Z mount too. Sigma...

The Canon R, R5c, C70 and their cine bodies, and RED Komodo do not have IBIS. So it makes sense why the lens would be stabilized. Where as every Nikon FF body has IBIS.

In shoot weddings too. Lots. It also depends on the part of the day and ethnicity of the wedding and, as you say, the venue, or even just the mood I’m in. I often use a 28 1.4 and 50 1.2 for ...

Thanks for doing this. I finally made the decision to order the Plena, so now I’m scouring the internet looking for info to soak up as I wait for it to arrive (hopefully) next week. And, giving ...

Decided to order the Plena :-) But I sold a couple little used lenses and a kidney.

That's great info, thank you!

I’m curious to hear if anyone has either or both and if they happen to shoot weddings or portraits or wedding or corporate events (I don’t shoot insects, birds or animals), and even landscape. Back ...

I'm thinking about this lens, but these are two wide ranging reports!

You have to consider what it's going to be used for, and photos from it will most likely never get printed. House inspections, construction sites, fishing trips, Jr's first camera, hunting trips,...

It’s not that the Z8 is big. It’s that the a1 is small :~). I have a Great Dane. It’s normal sized dog. The rest that we encounter on our walks are just small. It’s about perspective and preference...

@MikeRan, what if you could have both? The benefit of a top LCD is that you don't have to wake the camera up to see it's settings, potentially sacing battery over the course of a shoot. You can...

Do not underestimate the burden of an adapted long F mount lens. The novelty of Its sharpness wears of really quick once you realize what a PIA it is with the FTZ adapter on it. The COG is that ...

With Sony there is always an asterisk though. 120fps... 1.6 second long and 11-23 seconds to clear the buffer. That means you cannot shoot for that time and in sports there's a lot that goes on in...
