Just to follow-up on this thread. The arm will only fit in the standard lighting socket if the hex head is filed off, as suggested. I didn't have the heart to file it so I ended up purchasing the ...

My Apologies, the D3 doesn't have commander mode in the same way my D700 does. However, I suspect the settings might still be there because the CLS system can be used through a compatible flash. ...

My 622n II triggers work great for hss with my D700 and Sb800 speedlights. Maybe double/triple check you got the right settings plugged into the D3 (Auto FP, etc). If it's in commander mode or ...

Lol. Film with my F5 and sometimes my F80 if I'm shooting b&w and colour in tandem. I probably shoot 20-50 rolls of 35mm film per year, and 10-20 rolls of 120 per year. I took a break from film ...

If I had to choose 2, it would be my 24mm 1.4g and 35mm 1.4g lenses. I use them mostly for film and digital portraits and they impress me every time.

I would highly recommend the 28mm f2.8 ais or the 28mm f2 AIS lenses, they are both good in my opinion. The 105mm f2.5 AIS is also excellent and great value. Currently I have: 28mm f2.8 AIS (SIC copy)

Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys. I wish PCB had a Canadian presence because this would have been perfect, but I'm sure I'll get some duty charges making it cheaper just to buy the ...

I'm trying to avoid purchasing the clamp if I can make due with the getting the arm only. The brass fitting end will mount on my stands once the supplied fitting is removed, and I can mount my ...

Hey, sorry, I should have explained it better. I'm aware that the hex end goes with the super clamp itself and how the clamp works. But does the hex end also fit into the shoe mount socket?

I definitely agree with you there, the steep price of the F6 is what stopped most people I'm sure. What really killed it for me was the lack of modular components. What I love about my F5 is ...

Hello All, I'm hoping someone could help me. I'm looking at purchasing a small extension arm to get my umbrella further from my stand. At a steep down angle it's pressing against my stand pretty hard.

Lately with all the Nikon financial troubles, I've wondered if they should start making a film point and shoot in the $250 to $350 range, and an updated F6/F7 in the $2000 range. Film is really ...

I paid $80 Canadian for mine about 4 years ago. The lens has decent paint wear and looks pretty rough at first glance, but as I inspected it closer there were no dents and the the glass itself is ...

What don't you like about your 50mm 1.4D on your FE2? I'm guessing it's the focus throw/feel? I use my 50mm 1.8D on my FE, F80, F5 with great results, love it with film. I also second the ...

My 14-24 has all sorts of funky curvature and dead spot issues at f8, especially at that distance. Stopping down more definitely helps. In your test scene my 24mm 1.4g would need f11 to be even ...

What happens when you focus on the center instead of the corners? Also, what about when shot at f11? I've never owned the 35mm 1.4g but I'm guessing by focusing on the corner at f8 the field ...

The 28mm f2 Ais is one lens I regret selling. I sold it to help fund another purchase. It's a very balanced lens in my opinion, very good at everything. The 28mm f2.8 is excellent in it's own ...

I second the reset and iso comment. The F5 has a lot of custom settings that could be causing the problem. Also, make sure your DX coding is working and not fixed to a manual setting. My F5 did ...
