  • That would make it even easier. An used RX100M4 (a big improvement over the M3) is around $550. I vouch for it because I have one and extremely happy with it. At least, for my style of videoing. ...
  • I am also a long time Nikon still shooter and started my video venture about a couple of years ago. I can offer you a point of view that you may find share a lot of yours. I started videos with the ...
  • Created discussion thread How to reindex keywords in Adobe Bridge
I have hundred of images taken over the past 12-15 digital years. I have put keywords to them thru Adobe Bridge which I had used for a progression of versions. I am currently on the CC 2018. Someti ...

  • Unless you had the aquarium all by yourself, your option is pretty limited. The good news is that the aquarium is usually pretty dark with the lighted tank. Make sure you find a spot where there ...
  • First I don't use flash. Then I moved around to find a sport and angle where it's not affected by reflection.
  • I guess you would say a piece of blank white paper tells a great story because all of them would come out of your imagination. And you will say "not a bad pic."
  • I can't imagine visiting most parts of China during the summer. Chengdu is inland and must be feeling like a spring chicken in a Rotisserie oven. I was there in the latter part of October 2015, ...
  • I am using PPCC, 4k H264. But I think it doesn't matter that much. The central idea is adjustments causes slowness.
  • Replied in Grass Patterns
The grass itself lacks feature to be the subject. And there was not much subject in this set of pictures.
  • The worker seemed to be looking up at something. It is natural that viewers expect to see "what is he looking at?" The close crop cut out too much of the environment. The subject is not facing the ...
  • Human brain is the greatest filter. When you saw the subject, your brain filtered out every other distraction and you saw primarily the subject. But when you present it in a picture, your ...
  • I have my eyes open for the Nikon P1000 with 24-3000mm zoom.
  • You need to find an angle where there are layer after layer of tree/hill separated by the fog to make it interesting.
  • Thank you for the comment. I will note that in my future production. Sometimes we are restricted by the environment. I was shooting on the outside of the fence and couldn't get any closer. I would ...
  • Most of us, in most situations, do not subject ourselves to this kind of extreme condition. Good luck! Don't freeze your butt off, LOL.
  • I like the clarity and the close up feature of the frog. I'd tone down the exposure on the right so it is not so bright and catches my eyes, rotate the subject clockwise about 30 degree so it is ...
  • Created photo thread Gliding with grace
I love the grace movement of stingray gliding thru water. So smooth and effortless. I wish I could do something like that. I used to roller blade when I was younger. I had the feeling that I was ...
  • Created discussion thread What causes to slow down the rendering?
On my no-so-fast laptops (i7, 3720QM) it took hours to render a 2 minute 4K high quality video. I did one that doesn't call for adjustment layer (the aquarium footages) and it went thru in 15 minutes.
  • It's hard not to get carried away by Frank Sinatra. I love "My Way" and "It was a very good year." Can't stop litsening to them.
