Better than anything else before it, from what I hear. But with good technique you'll be fine anyway. I shoot a E-M10.3 full spectrum for astro stuff (on a tracker) and it does the job just fine:-D

That's exactly what I use when I want a fast prime to accompany my 12-100. Usually I also take the 8/1.8 and the 25/1.7 as well but if I was forced to take only one prime it would be the 15.

Thanks for the examples. There's a sort of haze effect in the wide open photos. I would sell the lens and move on. To others suggesting motion blur: the OP has provided samples with adequate ...

Do you have any examples of the exact same subject shot at both f1.7 and f2.8? Have you tried focusing manually using live view magnification to ensure focus is indeed where you want it?

It looks softer than what I'd expect from mine. Do you have any filter in front of it?

It's most definitely the new macro lens. Hopefully we may get an updated roadmap too.

I bought this one used and I love it. Mine is sharp everywhere except for the extreme corners even wide open. Yes there are some aberrations but they are automatically fixed in any raw converter. I ...

I own the 8mm fisheye and I've done my own tests with its defished outputs and I mostly agree with what you say. The results from OW or camera are quite good. Yes edges suffer a bit but not as ...

The Olympus 8/1.8 fisheye gives 3 rectilinear perspectives when defished in camera. One of them is 9mm. Identical view to the new 9mm lens. So here comes the logical question, how do they compare ...

I do, all the time. Which finds me shooting my 12-100 at f/4 way into the night. But when I have a 1.7 prime with me, again by fully exploiting the IBIS, I can get cleaner results with less ...

The technique is the same whether you want to use a long focal length to increase resolution or just want to image a composition that is wider than your lens. If you're doing this first time make ...

These threads is the reason this forum is the most popular in dpreview :-D

I use several raw developers depending on what I want to do with a given photo.I used to stress over minor differences at 100% rendering between the different raw converters but eventually I ...

This is a great and balanced kit of lenses. As many others already told you, they are all useful and compliment each other. You could use the 12-60 all day and in low light switch to any of the ...

Thanks for the suggestion. Of course I couldn't have left the 45/1.2 out of my evaluation. But the lower cost, weight and size of the Sigma are important factors for me. I guess one can't go wrong ...

Based on the same lenstip review, it could probably trump all the other lenses in your list :) I'm considering this for mosaics with my mft camera and given the slight crop in the corners ...

What about the Sigma 56/1.4?

This lens is loved by the astro community. On a tracker it will be lit. I use the MSM tracker and the longer lens they suggest using is the 135mm. Given the higher pixel density of our cameras ...

A few photos from a recent rainy hike in the woods. Mist and loads of fallen leaves made the scenery otherwordly. These are sooc jpegs with the "instant film" art filter. Shot with E-M1.2 and ...
