great Javier: So, you pay an expensive camera and an expensive lens to have soft images. And Fujifilm says that they don't want to implement IBIS because they would lose IQ.... yeah....

23mm for portraits, really ?

Terapixel: Great images, but not for indoors with close distances and where often f2 is needed, unless you love softness and dreaminess all over the frame.

I'll have to use a flash then to close the aperture more for sharpness (not for babys ! ).

The difference in sharpness @f2 wide open at short distances between this one and brother 35f2 or sister 23f1.4 in lesser extent, is quite clear.

Above F2.8-4 the lens performs great .

Horses for courses .

BTW I doubt if DPR fails big time.

karlkk: when gallery pics are magnified to 100% - there's not much difference at say , above 800 Iso , between an old D70 and the new D500.
There's no person on earth who'll agree to a blind test of telling which pic was shot by which camera .Sorry guys , cameras have become similar to wine on this respect.

It's not about IQ but fast focussing imo.

A very nice spec'd zoom definitely ! As a X-T1 owner I wonder if IQ will be on par with the 16-55 f2.8 which is heavier and has no IS !! Reasons for me not to buy that Fuji zoom.

Terapixel: The Fuji jpeg colors are for me unmatched, not even by the NX1. With the X-T1 I've more options to travel light than that still more bulky NX1 ! Even if i want go more pro-ish I've the 56mm f1.2 or the pro-zooms or all the other lenses FUJI is famous for.

Personally and in general I don't like SONY jpeg colors, but when you're shooting in RAW you can tweak a lot.

Terapixel: Dear Samsung. You raised the bar, congratulations ! Really ! I'm a FUJI X-T1 user and competition is always good. I like your new innovations, but you only get my award if you develop more high quality lenses like FUJI's !

But more than that you have to show me that you want to be a real photographers brand !!

@HowaboutRAW: "And the very best Samsung NX lenses are better than the better Fujis". Do you have any references proving your statement ? Thanks.
