4thnebula's current gear

Olympus PEN E-PL5
Sony a7 III
Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM
Very useful for my work. Nice and small for street photography.
Purchased this since Canon has not come up with a camera to match it in the $2000 range. Clearly the "Basic Camera" to beat. Cut off 1/2 star since LCD not fully articulating and clearly inferior to my Canon 80D's LCD.
Canon EF 35mm F2 IS USM
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
My second most used lens.
This lens is nearly permanently stuck on my Sony a7III (with Sigma NC-11).
Lowered the rating to 3.5. Just bought and am using the Sigma 50mm f1.4 A. WOW!
Canon EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM
Panasonic Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH Power O.I.S
My most used lens. Best image quality 70-200 I have ever used-found it to have better sharpness than Sony's new 70-200 f4 OSS.
This awsome little lens is on my EPL5 90% of the time.
Useful for walk around lens. Best super zoom I have ever used. It is on my EPL5 whenever my 20mm f1.7 is not.
Other gear:
  • Canon EOS R

Fujifilm GFX 100
Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM

4thnebula's previous gear

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2
Canon EOS M
Canon EOS 6D
Best designed camera I ever used. Only reason I still don't have it is its IQ. They don't make them like this anymore.
Had this nice little camera for a while. Love the build, size, feel and function other than af. If af was up to competition would still have it. Also loved the sound of the shutter. The EOS M Click!
Was a super camera in its time. That time is past.
Canon EOS 70D
Sony a6000
Canon EOS 80D
Was a useful camera but 80D is now better in DR and live view.
Was a major step forward in its day. Sold it since now only going mirrorless and FF.
Was also an excellent camera in its day. Sold it. Now, as of Sept. 21, 2018 have only one camera (Sony A7III). The 80D was my last dSLR.
Sony FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS
Tamron 16-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro
Sigma 18-300 F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM | C
Pretty good lens but image quality not quite up to my Canon 70-200 f4 IS. Will not purchase again.
Was a useful lens on my Canon 70D. Sold it when I found it would not work well on my 80D. Searching for a replacement. Use a sharper Sigma 18-300 now.
Was a good walk around. Sold it since no longer doing APSC or dSLR.
