Poor Nikon users - only have access to new camera once every five years.

fmian, are you lost? This is a tech gear site. If your happy with good old cameras why hang around here?

So it’s not a rumor anymore? On your next troll attempt get your “facts” straight before posting. Amateur!

Boring.. you could have left the rumor part out and make it look so much more convincing.

thorgal: A classic Sony troll would say:

Nikon/Canon/the rest of the world makes sales -----------------> they are in trouble

Sony makes sales ---------------------------> sophisticated marketing strategy

Wow did you think of that all by yourself? All the dashes and arrows, now that’s “sophisticated trolling”

G Master: Canon and Nikon fans are having a fit with this Sony sale. It’s making their over priced short on feature cameras a total rip off. Canon EOS RP for $1299 when Sony’s better camera A7ii sells for $899. Nikon Z6 for $1799 when the 42mp A7rii sells for $1498.

Lol did you just make the comparison of canon being a Porsche. Didn’t know Porsche sold $399 kits at Costco. Please don’t ever taint Porsche's name again. I guess you missed the 6 month old Canon EOS R currently being sold at -15% ($1999).

jwkphoto: How can this be, Nikon and Canon said back in 2006 Sony would be out of the camera business in a year.

Canon and Nikon also wished MILC was just a fad and it would just go away.

The A7III is killing it, out on the market for over a year now and the price hasn’t dropped a penny. Grey market for these guys are pretty much nonexistent. While in Canikon land their less than 6 month old cameras are discounted at an alarming rate for New releases.

If you know what you’re doing shooting with Sony is the best bang for the buck. $899 24mp FF camera with IBIS or for $1500 gets you a 42mp camera. With a bag full of vintage lenses you’re set to go on the cheap. And endless third party lens options make Sony by far the best value in town.

photoMEETING: Good Job, SONY!

But what if SONY makes a decrease for two or three years in a row? Possibly they shut down the whole Imaging Products and Solutions division in a heartbeat.

Nikon or Canon won't do that.

In your dreams buddy.

Ruekon: Shame on dpreview for never having noted stability issues of Sony cameras. Who is fooling whom here?

Dpreview us? Sony dpreview? Sony its customers?

Dpr didn’t report the service advisories of Nikon IBIS. Does that make you feel better now?

User9248414936: So much hate for Sony... if Fuji releases firmwares they are a responsible, caring company that cares about its customers. If Sony releases a firmware, their product is junk, or it is just marketing. Unreal!

Get use to it, when you’re #1 you’re an easy target.
