I suspect that way more people are willing to fiddle with a phone app than a camera menu. It is (becoming) the default device interaction interface.
-
@EXkurogane .. this can easily be a major version increment if Nikon does semantic versioning. The interface and how the camera operates has changed.

The RED frame indicator is a very well timed feature. Talking about trickle down technology even before the official announcement. =)

Another nice and practical sample gallery. Kudos! The authors preference for the true normal lens focal lengths is positively noted. For full coverage some samples between the 24 and 33 would have...

HCB used black&white to hide all the color abberations in his images so he would be recognized as a dpreview-worthy artist. /s In darktable you don't even need a lens profile - just turn on the...

This video could have been a slideshow. Stopped a quarter in when I realised there are no controls to go back a few frames.
-
@Eugene .. but does that remove the demosaaicing artefacts from trying to fit a hex pixel into a square hole?

Nice gallery. Richard, I like where you are going with your sample images. The crossover of reallife usage and technical coverage is well received. On another note: Fujifilm should give up on that...

@Alex .. I seem to get where you are coming from .. technical photography is an awesome thing to do .. but the objectiveness of photos fails as soon as humans look at them .. even more so if the...

@Alex .. I would call music very objective .. you can measure with rather simple tools all the frequencies .. and still, the result will always be different to different persons, even momentary...

@Torstein .. if you would have lost your prejudices before logging in you would have realised that noone is any wiser. Technically anything past the late 50ies of the last century has always been...

Drop the "always" and I will agree .. I have been using micro43 as my sidekick and personal system since 2011 but consider most of the Olympus lenses too sterile for their own good. Especially...

@Jeff .. I do. fixed iso, fixed exposure time, automatic aperture. Thank the engineers for iso-invariant sensors.

Especially for those that speak and/or understand German. =) "Handy: German word for mobile phone"

Look at the full tray of the __bread__ before baking -- for me it works out, no problem.
