createrio: Silver version to follow, codenamed Skywalker. Evaluating a golden one, codenamed 3PO.

I'm sorry, but I disagree, the first limited edition should definitely be the tactical urban camo one, with a red dot, and the camo strap and pants, and a ferrari shirt, and a big gold watch with the red dot, just to be better looking.

So, essentially, it consumes energy in-real-time ? What a great idea :) Fortunately they don't seal it for my A7R2 ^^

Batch panomara, now that's interesting, plus true gpu torque.

Seriously ? Buy a leica box and then mount an artisanal lense on it ?

I dare to see samples! would that mean the next a7R5 will be a miniaturized a7 ? or a whopping gigapixel powerhouse ?

The worst: please DPR, do test cameras and lenses on a test scene, that would allow readers a fare comparison. Thanks

I'm not a big fans of big fans (haha, sorry) I hate the noise of NASs, they should really invest into passive cooling. After all 6 HDs should not be that much an issue to cool down silently.

On article Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII Review (994 comments in total)

The benchmark compact, redefined :) Every Mk is a small step up the ladder. Yet, still (pretty good) Zeiss optics. A big leap would be to have a constant-focal GM lense. Why not ? Also, no USB-C ? It's much more reliable than mini-usb. A thougher composite body ? It still feels a bit fragile outside of a protective skin.
Still, I have the Mk III and it still is a good secondary camera, but I don't feel an emergency for a change.

The animated gif does not seem to give much credit to zoom or focus distance, it is just really scary. Or is it the next generation of smart glasses ? Just imagine: this with recording, with augmented vision ?

and yes: resistance is futile ^^

I will be back :)

It has a huuuuuge viewfinder (picture 7). I like the concept very much: a small, packed, modular, brick-styled core device for most photos and modules to attach for particular situation. It would even fit in a (laaaaarge) pocket. I just hope the manufacturer will release a (not to bulky) E-to-L mount adapter :)

Now, that's one special edition for a man :) many urban/camo/reddot editions for Leica ^^$

Please, please, do a 24x36 edition for 300 bucks! I'd love to use my Mamiya ZM again (although its lenses now really have a greenish color balance).

Please ?

SundridgePete: To me this looks astonishing. Seems like Sony has really nailed it. For once, I might start (almost) listening to all those people that slag me off for spending nearly double on a Leica...(including my wife)

On this derivative, Sony will be the reference in just a few months ... haven't you overheard bystanders commenting on A7R or GM logos ?

Absolutly awesome :) Unsurpassed degrees of freedom in every possible shot or situation or post: real-time, night, zoom, light, you name it! This is most certainly more revolutionary than the mark 3, and my next buy from the mark 2, definitely ^^

Bingo, I think we just raised the Godwin flag on this one. I don't think anything in my message intended to show any emphaty for any dictatorship or comradry of some kind. But if you want to look closer, fake news and fake analysis and discoveries lead to level one in your list: brainwashing. I admit my message was a bit provocative, apologies if you took it too seriously.
