thorgal: A sleepless night for Sony zealots?

Sleepless to see a newer camera unable to even match much less meet what Sony has been doing for a long time ?
Stop the silly fanboysim

GOVA: Pretty bad in terms of IQ, high noise levels, white balance, colors.

Nikon D4s 12mp with cheap 200-500 destroys this cr@p.

nathantw: Whew. Good thing we have those tiny, lightweight camera bodies to go with these hulking monsters.

Wow still stuck on that old "mirrorless size and look at the big lenses" argument... Time to move on don't you think. Mirrorless is here to stay and it's the future. Just face it 😉

milkod2001: I got this 2 weeks ago. Created DNG profile for my A7R3 files. It does help big time but it is still better to shoot everything with grey card included and then do white balance fix in Photoshop. That leads to my conclusion that you don't need to spend $150 for it and you can use any decent cheapo grey card instead. You get the very same results.

desertsp: They should license this to companies like LR so it’s fully automatic. LR would detect the color card thing in a photo, and prompt the user if they want to calibrate against it.

indeed has been there for a while

Billy Chiu: A little surprised your Scoring Charts has the new Leica Q2 JPEG and RAW pictures capability surpassed by the older Sony RX1R II as well as the Sony A7 RIII. Both Sony sensors on paper lower res.

@cbphoto123
I had a few minutes to spare and looked up your recent comments... You seem to only comment to attack Sony any chance you have..its VERY weird.
You need some Professional help... Repeat this a million times... "it's just a camera brand..."

In his follow up interview he talks about people going back to VHS, 8-track and horse carriages too....

Niche markets wen it comes to many of those..that is the point. His claims are very different from what I am talking about.

Iloveaircraftnoise: The Sony house party at DP review are taking this guy to pieces on his DSLR comeback comments.

I still think EVF's look like Pacman video screens so I agree with him 100%

pacman video screens???? LOL when was the last time you saw an EVF...from a Canon SX50? come on now...spreading nonsense does not help anyone.

lacikuss: I'll stick with my EF 40mm f/2.8 STM ($150) and the EF 35mm f/2 IS USM ($550).

Same performances way lighter (both) and 8% and 30% of the Sigma's price respectively.

thanks...

same performance...this place can be hilarious lol

Very nice picture. You might think she's levitating above the ground ;-)

Why thank you very much! That is actually a good idea to try there. I am planning another shoot there, just hoping to have some water so it creates a mirror like effect.
Thank you!!!

In reply to:

Luis Gabriel Photography: Was this tested at the same shutter speeds? Because recent tests show that Fuji is STILL pretty misleading with their ISOs compared to other companies.

As expected you are unable to argue without a childish attack so I will play your game.
The only ignorance is the one you are showing. Exposure is exposure, if a test shows all cameras with very similar exposures under the same settings yet the fuji is under exposed, guess that? They are trying to fool people into thinking their ISO is better than it is. Judging by your ignorant reply, they are succeeding with some people sadly.
Spin it anyway you like, facts are facts and no matter how you like to embelish the story, they are lying. Simple as that.
Now go ahead and have the last word if that makes you sleep better tonight.
I am out of this thread...cant reason with fanatics.
Regards

Exactly. How can you say is not misleading when for example at iso 3200 with same settings the Fuji will be one stop under exposed vs the sony??? Fools people into thinking their high iso is cleaner than the competition

Sharlin: News at ten: Canon releases a camera that is more than its spec sheet. Sony fanboys still can’t comprehend the idea.

Somehow that is ALWAYS the excuse with any Canon release..it is "more than the specs" ...and some actually believe it too! lol

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I was waiting on a reply from them about that.

K e n n e t h: I’m glad X-Rite finally added this for Capture One Pro

Too many steps though

I hope X-Rite can simplify the process

Well its simpler than using Lumariver BUT why cant CaptureOne just add the option like Lightroom and PhotoNinja??

demaio: DPR is selling Sony, as always.
Well, this is a gear site and Sony' specs win hands down right now. But as a photographer I have to chose the system as a whole, not distinct pieces from different manufacturers. This is why I'm selling now almost all of my prosumer Nicon gear and buying Canon EOS R. Canon's lenses are the best, other being clearly inferior.

are we still on the absurd "canon colors" thing? time to move on guys...
