Sure, there is no guarantee you are going to get the shot no matter what...that does NOT make it less important to have 2 cards than 1. You are trying way too hard to argue something that CANNOT be argued. Again...YOU want to take the risk of only one card during a one time event..be my guest.
I am done as there is no point to argue something that is simple logic.

Backing up AFTER you shoot does not guarantee that you took the photo. If you caught the perfect moment and the card died there, you are screwed. Again you idea of this been a joke is based on your OWN needs and risk acceptance. Tell this is a Joke if your card fails to a bride when you missed a crucial moment of her event. YOUR needs are not the needs of others.

Indeed...if you are taking photos at the zoo..good but if you are doing an expensive wedding then ONE time failure is one too many. Different needs...

flykiller: I find it insulting to spend so much money on my A7riii expecting I could see the focus frame at any time. The a9 and a7r4 have Focus Frame Color change options. Why has that not been implemented via update to the a7riii ? It’s not rocket science for the software team. Sometimes I question if they are not bothered by it themselves when they use the camera...

+10000 pollup...plus worst case, the moment he noticed it was missing that "key" feature , he could have simply send it back and buy something else...so simple. ;)

ttran88: Sony will be helping Nikon next.

@Yxa, hahaha sorry to burst your bubble but I have had every brand out there. Unlike YOU, I use what works for me because I pay for every piece of gear I own thus I owe no company loyalty. I sold my RX100 V to get the Canon G5Xii as my travel camera because it fits my needs better. I have a P1000 because its the best super zoom in the market.
I am selling my Sony APS-C because I wanted 4k60P which the 6600 does not have so I am going to try the XT-3.
I shoot Sony A7R3 and getting an A9 because they are by far the best Full Frame cameras out there.
So yeah, you silly "fanboysim" attack falls flat. Remove your fanboyism blind fold and take a good look so you can see ALL that you are missing for your misguided loyalty to one company...unless you have stock with them or something that is.
Enough wasted time on you..get back to me when you mature.
Regards and welcome to my ignored list.

@Yxa hahaha there is nothing to dream about...its REALITY and it is happening right now whether your like it or not.
But I get it, its hard for you to see it behind such thick fanboysim veil....its ok, some people just take longer. ;)

Camera Conspiracies: With the depth of field of 20 football fields, Sony has somehow managed to add eye autofocus to it's latest smartphone.

almost only? How is that possible...with the almost infinite DOF it should all be in focus lol

I love my Sony cameras but when I saw eye AF on this phone I really laughed. Guess marketing really wanted that one lol

"The experience to be able to make a good camera" hahaha like their mirrorless FF the failed to even match what Sony already had on the camera for a while?? Seems you have missed the last couple of years of the camera world development.

ekaton: Another one of these soulless, clinically rendering, unattractively designed, semi fast, semi compact, semi weather resistant, boldly priced me too 35mm "meh" lenses. They all look and render about the same, Sony, Canon, Nikon, Sigma, Olympus, Panasonic........these days, it seems.

"soulless" /facepalm

matthew saville: Extreme sagittal blur does indeed make it seem like coma will be a major shortcoming of this lens, for anybody who is thinking of using it for astro work. I guess that's what the 28 1.4 Art and 40 1.4 Art are for, if you want to do pano stitching of nightscapes. I hope to see some astro sample images with the lens soon, but I'm not holding my breath.

Another advantage of keeping the 40mm is that the 28mm will "fit better" as there is a bigger gap between them

I may end up keeping my 40mm instead but will wait until I try it just in case

DougDolde: meh

Oh you know it! Sadly some people have this dumb brand loyalty that does not allow them to see and enjoy amazing products just because of the label. I shoot whatever works for my needs. Sony I shot professionally. For my fun camera I am currently testing the Nikon P1000. For travel had the Canon, then the RX100 , and now looking at the new Canon G5X II as I like the specs of the lens.
When its time to buy, I have to pay with my hard earned money so I owe no company loyalty. :)

I am hoping the lens is good although it bugs me canon did not include the headphone jack on the g5x. I do like the fast lens and 120mm reach over the slower lens of the rx100 vi so hope to get some reviews soon to find out how it performs

captura: Fail, the Rebel SL3 has dropped the 24P video, everybody's favorite, for the jerky 30P video. As long as you don't need 4K video, best to stick with the tried & true SL2/ 200D model.

Agree about the whole 24p nonsense. It was a choice based on saving money not artistic value

M R Desai: Why can't Nikon make an one inch sensor camera with the same lens as P1000? It will be equivalent to 1500mm(35mm), still a lot of camera with better image quality etc. Sony RX10 M4 is an excellent example.

is not that easy. See how big the Sony is with only a 600mm max range? See how huge the p1000 which such tiny sensor? A 1" sensor with that range would be insanely big...just not gonna happen.
