I've backpacked over a thousand miles with a equiv 50mm and 18mm prime. It definitely changed how I see the the way I wanted to photograph my surroundings. Honestly if you've never forced yourself...

Unfortunately I was a victim of the Amazon flash sale. $664 before taxes was really hard to pass up. lol

Yes the Samyang is a fantastic lens considering it's size. Photo rendering is comparable to my Sigma 85 f1.4.

The ZV-E10 wasn't released this year

Stumble and see how much you like that neck strap.
-
@Nick It's a 19mm lens on a full frame ie. 35 mm equiv.
-
Why what is this competing with? Also nothing wrong with a fixed lens camera. Altho I would have wanted a more useful, at least a 28mm equiv lens.

Samsung flip is the phone for you

I believe It's unfortunate timing of the OM5 announcement.

A high megapixel stacked sensor would have cost higher than the a1. Why would you expect a stack sensor?
-
Well in fairness only in lab conditions that tests can be repeatable and can be replicated and checked.
-
If a manufacturer has the opportunity to be the first to release a 100 mp full frame camera, they would do it. It's not because one is scared. Also A1 is about stacked, fast readout sensor.

Unofficially abandoned is the term you're looking for.

A flagship phone camera from 10 yrs ago.

Well Tamron is a major third party lens in this space, and they only make a 28-75 in this popular zoom range, so of course they have to be included in the comparison.
-
@Malling There's already a Sigma 100-400 and a Sony 100-400. I'm glad Tamron is doing something different, and more importantly an option. I don't get it when people complain about having options.
