DHOC_TAZH's current gear

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 (Lumix DMC-TZ100)
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V
Olympus OM-D E-M10 II
My nearly ideal "bridge" camera. It's missing retractability from the monitor, but the IQ from the 1 inch sensor, zoom range, low light reach, in camera JPEGs, and 4k video capability is worth it to me.
Perfectly capable for my needs, when the DSLRs and MILC for some reason are overkill to tote along.
Olympus OM-D E-M10 III
Pentax K-70
Pentax K-x
Fine, lightweight DSLR in its class. I don't use NR at all for the JPEG's as I find them very film like at high ISOs.
Sony a6300
Olympus 9mm F8 Fish-Eye Body Cap Lens
Olympus Body Cap Lens 15mm F8.0
Best balance of quality and size for me. Silent shutter, rangefinder style body, 4k video...
Fun to play with. Best in daylight and well lit rooms. The high ISO capability of most Olympus m4/3 cams from 6400+ does make it somewhat usable in low light... if you aren't totally averse to film like grain/noise.

Pentax smc DA 21mm F3.2 AL Limited
Pentax smc DA 35mm F2.4 AL
K-x kit lens.
Terrific street, landscape and interior lens. Works well in low light.
Perfect all rounder. Functions well in low light, especially with my K-70.
Pentax smc DA 50mm F1.8
Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM
Sony E 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 PZ OSS
Pentax K mount, APS-C version without the built in stabilization. Very sharp zoom lens, nearly as good as my primes. Effective in low light, very little CA in bright shots. I'd be happy to use this lens in a pro shooting session. Great (but heavy) upgrade from the 18-55 DA zoom I've been using since 2010.

Sony E 16mm F2.8 Pancake
Sony E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS
Sony E 35mm F1.8 OSS
Not the greatest, but I exploit the lens distortion for some film like photos. It's light enough, so the lack of OSS doesn't bother me.
Excellent, light superzoom lens for the a6xxx cameras. Amazingly sharp, with little lens distortion throughout most of its range. Perfect for most uses, except for macro shots.
My favorite street/night shooting lens for the a6300.
Sony E 50mm F1.8 OSS
Tamron 14-150mm F/3.5-5.8 Di III
Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro
Other gear:
  • SMC PENTAX-A 35-80mm f/4-5.6 FA manual focus
  • SMC PENTAX-A 50mm f/2 FA manual focus (K1000 kit lens)
