  • Cosmos - possibly var. Capriola Arrived in a packet of seeds of another type of cosmos.  Appears to have  along flowering season.  K50 and 18-55WR again, with lots of sharpening again.....
  • Geranium In the greenhouse.  We keep a lot of these as they are reputed to ward off mosquitoes.  Taken with K50 and 18-55WR kit lens at close distance it really needed a lot of sharpening!

Many thanks.  I re-configured Faststone RAW setting and the DNG is back in colour!   I'm no longer confused:)
  • Replied in B+W
Thanks.  That makes me wonder.  Yes, it appears as B&W but I'm using Faststone  (quite an old version, never needed to upgrade) to convert the RAW files, so it could be that it is reading ...
  • Created question thread B&W with K50
Hi.  Set the camera to B&W for the first time and was surprised that the DNG file was also in B&W.  Is this normal - and / or can it be adjusted so that the Jpeg is B&W and the RAW colour?  The ...
  • Here's an old article on MF with Pentax DSLR. http://www.robertsdonovan.com/?p=1371 OK, it's old, but as I believe the Pentax system is using it's AF sensor (what else could it use?) then unless ...

  • It's really only to be expected. I used to be a car nut - think Packard / Studebaker. Two failing companies joined together and what did we get? Ulitmately a failure - was it Rambler and then AMC? ...
  • Not sure about the camera, but living in France I really miss pork pies! Thanks for the picture:)
I recommend pickled onions, though, not mustard - plus maybe some sliced fresh bread and (cold)...

  • 8 out of 10. Quite odd, really, the photos I mean. I couldn't imagine why those sorts of photos would be worth manipulating - no alien life-forms or flying saucers etc.

  • Replied in K30 issue
I came across somebody else on Pentaxforums who'd had the same problem. I don't know the outcome - think he/she just used the battery door to keep the thing in. To me it's a fairly suspect design, ...
  • Many thanks.  Have filled it in, but I guess they won't be too pleased with my response - which is fair enough as I wasn't too pleased when I found about the potential of aperture block problem on ...
  • Thank-you Tom.  I was a bit surprised how sharp it was tbh although I did come across a chart on an Australian site (the link to which gets deleted if I post it here) that says it is sharpest at ...
  • Lovely.  Thank-you.  Some really good responses to.  My contribution for June: Rose 'New Dawn' climbing on a trellis. Taken with K50 and the 18-55WR kit lens.
  • Last ones coming up: Oh Dear A Joke? Groan Leading Group Near the End Most enjoyable, but it was hard work for those guys coming up the hill.  Photos were a mixture of prefocussed and attempts at ...

  • Created discussion thread Cycle Race - Photo Intensive
This-afternoon the regional bicycle race ran up our road five times.  It's very steep.  Photos taken with Pentax K50 and 18-55WR, some with AF. Checking us (the natives) out Nice and sunny Close in ...

Huh?  Oh, I see. The reason for posting that information was so that other users of the forum would be alerted to the possibility of receiving SPAM messages purporting to come from Amazon.  The ...
