Sad that I don't see any female winners in here (unless Aleks and Alyn are women).

AussieBarb: Thanks for that review - can DPR do a review of Corel PSP?

Yeah - they're good at poking the upgrades (discounted) in front of you, every time you open up the program. I have a really good PC and some stuff still falls over and bogs me out (simple stuff like brightness modification) - next upgrade will be to Adobe. I am still keen to see what a review would say, though.

Hmm this review makes me want to quit canon and go to the "darkside". I'm happy that there's still healthy competition out there, I hope the camera sells well as it will herald good upgrades for all users no matter what their predilection.

Yes they did make me smile - some great shots and some of the captions, sum it up in a humorous way. I loved the caption of the cat "overdramtic" I got a laugh....

I dunno, maybe it's me, but I just can't see $7k worth of picture in the sample gallery ($10k if converted to AUD). I'll stick to my gear thanks.

AussieBarb: Love it. I'd feel cheated if I got called "Epson" (a printer), should have called him "Leica" ........

Ahhh, the dog that went into space .....? (Different spelling though but I assume you're referring to that)

AussieBarb: Since the announcement, only a few weeks ago I have watched the EM5- Mk3 drop from $1,700AUD to $1,350 AUD - I upgraded to the G9 insetad

We get screwed here on such items, probably overpriced here in the first instance - so it's easier to drop their existing (exorbitant) profit margins and withstand the retraction to .... move the product (as we also have a smaller market than the US). Guessing though.

Sirandar: Olympus is struggling with economic pleiotropy ..... there is just too much happening all at the same time.

The people that used to buy Olympus are now just hoping to keep their house from being foreclosed, the other brands also feel this.

Cameras from 3 years ago perform more than well enough for almost any application, people now have to use the camera they have because a new one costs 6 months of after tax labor at the rate employers are currently paying most people.

Those that are paid well are paid very well and can afford a FF camera and 2 people to carry the gear for them

It is near impossible to get people to pay you for photography unless people are already paying you .... and then you can afford a FF

In bright light cell phone pictures are often almost as good as MFT and APS .... sometimes even better due to AI

Few even give photos more than a passing glance these days

People are crazy for selfy sticks and cell phones .... often instant love

I get your point (Science is in a crisis), with all due respect, I don't think this is the forum.

AussieBarb: Funny I should be reading this, I did a clean out on the weekend and found my Lumix LX3, can't find the charger, but I checked the pics out I had on the card - it is a nice camera. I carted it round on the handlebars of my bike taking pics as I cruised around Asia and have some top pics taken on it. I'm now ready to upgrade my Oly em5 and am now caught between a Lumix and Oly because of the leaning I have towards the Lumix cameras. I still have a Samsung (NX11) - I would like to hear some stories about this.

I have read the specs till my eyes bleed on the oly em 5 mark 3. yes they rave about it but for $1,900 AUD wt..! "mid level". I paid $1,800 on my canon 6D m2 and for my oly omd em 5 with 2 lenses $1,300 on release. Am I really getting that much more I only want wi-fi and good image quality. Hence thinking of G9 or G95 for stills, the latter is $1,200AUD and I figure I can still get the bang for my buck out of this. Too scared to make a choice and am now wondering with Covid will prices go up b/c of manufacturing shutdowns. Who knows? The pics out of my Oly em5 are still nice and now we're locked inside - boo hoo. Yeah first world problems, I know.
