Use Evaluative Metering mode as that will expose for what your focus point is set on e.g. your subject. Test this by dragging the focus point from dark to light areas when in evaluative metering ...

And then register your studio settings (with exposure simulation off) into C1, C2 or C3. Then just switch to that custom dial when using strobes.
