cosinaphile: and why not ? thats where the customers will be coming from

Also Now Fuji has already eaten up the high market of aps-C cameras. The problem is only with continuos autofocus where a D500 is more fast

JEROME NOLAS: Big, heavy, pricey. I don't care about video so buying FF Ca-Ni-So is better option for me...

But the ff asks lens greater and they are heavy

MayaTlab0: "Nikon will have done its market research". That's painting camera manufacturers in a much more rational light than what they deserve in my opinion. Even if they did some form of market research, I doubt that they can do it particularly well (years ago when I received surveys from Nikon, they were full of leading questions for example).
I'm not sure that much market research was done before the launch of the DXO One or the Sony QX cameras, for example (and anyway, you didn't need any market research back then to know that these would be failures, just a competent design team). Canon royally screwing up the demand ratio between the 5DSR and 5DS at launch is also a fairly good example of poor market acumen (there's only one variable to assess here, and even then they made a poor estimation).

I do not think that nikon knows the market or perhapsit in in late, because now the user wants a Mirrorless FF built as a Nikon F made all of titanium , 10 Fps, with Autofocus on 1.000 points at the price below 1000$, and nikon do not have this product

And mirrorless? when? I think that this new camera will be always the same soup.

It is very strange Olympus goes with its errors. I do not understand whyOlympus continues with 4/3. It is not better start with APS-C?

I think it vill be a stone against nikon D5. The price is not very much more. If you don't take sport e dinamic pictures, Fuji GFx 50S is the right choice

I made a benchmark between Iphone 4s and nikon coolpix 2200 of two Mpixels. In all the situation the results of the photos were better with Coolpix than iPhone 4S. The iphone 4S'S camera is poor of quality, expecially if you want to use at 100% of enlargment. The vantage of iphone 4S is that you always bring with you because is a phone and not a camera. Probabily if one use vary software it also possible obtain good photos with iPhone, but if you use a normal camera like for example the fuji x100, you can obtain more better vantage

I tried to compare Iphone 4s with nikon colpix 2200 of 2 Mpixel. Maturally colpix is more better than Iphone

don't we have 24-120mm already?

From MTF Curve, the new lens seems better than the 24-120. Please go and see them

Edmond Leung: Excellent lenses.
These are real optical instruments, not toys.

I agree. I do not undestand why Nikon and Canon continue to buy at high price lenses made of plastic and with no mechanic control, when may years ago they built like zeiss.

There is a great possibility to develope the system. What Lytro has done at the end, is the holografy without laser and this is a great improvement.
In the future I think Lytro will develope the system giving the possibility to take a picture of subject in the position it was in the past.

I think Lytro is a technology come from the future.
I have bought shares of this company

What is the need, if the sensor is so...small. The problem of compact camera is the sensor dimension, not they havefixed lens.
For me is a stupid project
