Biological_Viewfinder: Using a 3rd Party Lens on a camera is like throwing a Yugo engine into a Lexus.

Being long term NEX3/5/C3/5N/7 user with two A7 bodies currently added plus about 160 manual lenses of different brands and fls I found the vast majority of this review misleading and erroneus.Starting from selection of lenses, going through tips and finishing up with conclusions.

Better and best lenses from minolta MD,Canon FD,Zeiss C/Y,CZJ,G and Z series,Yashica,Rollei,Pentax,Olympus Zuiko,Konica Hexanons,Sigma,Tamron and Vivitar render pictures of very good to excellent quality on contemporary hi-res sensors like the ones tested.Sure they have some weaknesses like any other modern lens, but nothing serious really. Some of my lenses esp. wide angles perform better on the A7 compared to NEX5N or NEX7 due to lower pixel density, but putting crappy 17/3.5 Vivitar has to give poor results. Why didn't they use or 21/3.5?Or Canon FD 20/2.8?Or Rollei 21/4?Or Hexanon 21/4?Results would have been completely different.
