Birds certainly do have hearts. I think perhaps the seeds just pass through their digestive system without breaking down.

I once read that the pulp (not seed) of the yew berry is the only part of the tree not poisonous - but I'm not about to put it to the test. But they are very pretty. Something must eat them...

I'll pick #5 too - nice balance of foreground and background elements.

I like the third with its out of focus background, but I think I would have preferred either sky or forest rather than both (forest I think, but that might have been tricky finding a standpoint ;-)  )

A beautiful little Romanesque church on the banks of the Loire. There are some splendid 11th and 12th century carvings.
