On article Making sensor sizes less misleading (680 comments in total)

And I always did wonder what 1" sensor size meant.

There seems to be a bad reception, but personally I think it's a good thing.

Surprising, but nice to see none the less.
Thumbs up Nikon!

Jethro B-UK: Pity for canon eos-m shooters.
RF-S is getting stronger.

@sirhawkey64
It's not all quite over. This is a topic of endless debate over on the eos-m forums.

Henry Richardson: I wonder how it compares to Faststone? I have been using the fantastic Faststone for many years.

That's what I was just about to ask,
Although I've only been using Faststone for a month or two.

JasonTheBirder: I've been a darktable user for about eight years, and I use it for paid work. In case the description sounds a bit technical, the point is that the darktable developers have paid a lot of attention to making darktable process images in the most efficient manner with serious work done to incorporate the theory of image editing. You don't actually need to know that stuff to edit images. It just does a really good job, and has many features that other Raw editors do not.

In particular I am really amazed at how good the default colour denoising works without removing any detail. It also has a powerful mask system that allows you to select specific colours or even the in-focus areas, and it's also really fun to use once you get to know it. It's definitely different than lightroom/Capture one but as someone who started with Darktable and later tried lightroom and Capture one, I think they are actually just different rather than one being harder than the other. Give it a try!

Thanks.
I'll start on the videos tomorrow.

I find DT really hard to use.

Jethro B-UK: Both Digikam and Darktable updated in just over a week...
"UI Rewrite" is most interesting to me.

I really want to love Darktable, but it's so complicated (to me).
