rhurani: it can also be used in atomic bomb manufacturing process as it can reveal people with fever who are disguised spies
M. Berg mentioned "slight fever".. here comes the low-fever response of the sensor into play, probably the x-trans tech will have advantage here

rhurani: I use Google Photos to extract images and video clips from my iPhone. Till now there is no other option. iTunes is never an option. For few files I use e-mail to send to my PC

If you can help me guys. My problem: I take photos & videos on iPhone 10 and want to transfer them to my PC. I'll never use iTunes!! because it takes control and does what it wants rather than what I want. I used Google Photo app to upload from iPhone to Google and from there download to the PC. I'm talking here about tens of GB! I use email for few photos. I need to preserve the full resolution> network sharing as pkosewski suggested took me nowhere, iPhone is not a Win10 device! any help?
Delete_account: There is a pattern here. Start great, give stroage or whatever for "free" (not really free), then once people invest their time and energy to make your system "appealing" start asking for payment.
Every numbskull with a piece of code is not happy with a one off payment (either in cash, or ad revenue) these days. They just want an ongoing subscription.
Bottom line is that I hate subscriptions. They add up. I hate even more being tricked - lure me into a service with the intention of charging me money once it is hard to get out.
Even You-tubers do the same through Patreon.. they hide some silly stupid clip that you need to "subscribe via patreon" to watch

CQui: Canon R system looks closer to my need with those lenses...
yes! i hate to spend thousands $ on a body only to find that you cannot use it without shelling out more K$$ on lenses
Shutter life (low expected number of shutter actuations) is alarming! 200k as opposed to 500k for Canon, Sony and Panasonic- really alarming that a Z7 will serve less than half the competition
souldbird: I suggest new models should be named after notable photographers.
Introducing the new:
Nikon Newton
Canon Cartier-Bresson
Leica Leibovitz
Fuji Frank
Pentax Parr
Lumix Lange
Hasselblad Man Ray
Phase One Avedon
Sony Northrup
Thank God Mr. Zuiko is dead!
Are these even photos?
Imager of: Tiny sensor. Yawn.
Blame Sony
rhurani: As a proud owner of G9, it's time to buy a cat
@Ruairi how leica will help utilise the new feature?

its_a_knife: I like this comment section. I thought it was going to be filled with Panny and MFT hate but it's rather positive or the criticism is decently constructive. Good job folxxx.
wait for it!
No mirrorless can beat this one!
Lens design innovation progressed very very slowly over the past centuries. Looking forward to a breakthrough that'll enable us to buy lenses for reasonable prices. A kg of glass should not cost you more than a kg of gold as is the case now
'I don’t care about competitors"- it's ok, you don't need to lie! a company that does not care about competitors is stupid
Rich Evans: Teething problems of every first gen camera.
I usually try to avoid first gen of ANYTHING exactly because of issues like this: happened to the iPod, iPhone, A7r and now the Z7.
Pretty sure by iteration 3 we will have a great battle in our hands.
you mean a great "bottle?"
Rascati: I love this call out in the main article
“Kenji Tanaka of Sony nailed it when he predicted that both Canon and Nikon would enter the full-frame mirrorless market within a year”
The guy is a real Nostradamus! Nothing against the guy, but I’m pretty sure that everbody who logs on to DPR could have predicted this one.
If and when everybody agrees that the mirror era had gone, how the mirrorless fanboys will go along with their lives? will they be bored to death?
No eye detect, no 2nd card slot, no adapter for the new mount? I pass
