Nikon had promised enthusiast compacts with 1"-type sensors: https://www.dpreview.com/articles/2032485397/ Cancled: https://www.dpreview.com/news/6864148000/

you can go even wider with even larger sensors.
-
No, 600mm is great. You can use it as a short tele for portraits on a 8"by10" camera and also as an ultra tele on mft.
-
Why mithical? Look at broadcast lenses!
-
It is brick walls. The best type of picture ever.

But occationally something becomes better. I think there was am improvement with truepic VII introduced in the E-M1: https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympus-om-d-e-m1/12 "The E-M1 also appears to...
-
Yes, compatibility. There has always been the annoying fact, that some corrections from Panasonic lenses are not done by Olympus cameras and vice versa. That was really bad for the whole mft...

I would never buy a camera again that does not have both a viewfinder AND a titlable/swivel-screen. I use the sreen most of the time and it es so convenient to work with close to the ground. But...

Oh, I thought they are refereing to the actual Platon (Πλάτων). I thought that question was funny. But I just learned that he is called Plato in english. Can I change my vote?

Or metering on a grey card, or using an incident-light meter.
-
Unfortunalty they are even more expensive and have no AF.
-
Already at f/1.4 it is so sharp that you get false colour artifact on fine details and moire as well. And that on a 60MP body. I think it is time for higher resolution sensors now. Or get low pass...

Ha, I was a bit suprised that they did not have one already. It is seven years after the first GM lenses. Ok, I had missed the 1.2, but that was also five years after the 85mm GM.

I actually got gid of the Sony 50mm 1.8 because of the AF. The images were nice looking, but it was out of focus too often, because it was too slow. I have replaced it with a Samyang 45mm 1.8.
-
Zeiss Otus would be another comparison.
-
This is a bit off topic, isn't it? This lens is for L-mount. It covers an image circle of 43.3mm.
-
Yes, I remember der advertisments. "Smaller but same quality as 35mm due to better film emulsions." (X) doubt Sure it had nice feautures.
-
Well, ok. That seems to be true. Only for four thirds. But also it was not made for four thirds, or even APC-C. It is lens for 35mm that was also built with mft mount. I would rather buy the canon...

Sigma has made the 150mm f/2.8 for mft. Lenstip said, that you need a lens to stop 2 stops down to reach maximum performance. But that is not true for several mft lenses.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
