My experience (I’ve had three X-T2s) is that it can’t be done.  I upgraded to an X-T3 to get around it.  And I’ve just discovered the X-T30 (almost as good as the X-T3 BTW) can also do it.

I have a feeling the improvements to the X-T3 were already incorporated into the X-T30 when it was designed. So it is the X-T3 that is catching up, not the other way round.

I can swipe left and right and the menu items appear but not up and down. When I do that nothing happens. I‘ve tried every variation of swiping I can imagine to no avail.  Any clues?

I agree with Clive.  I did some testing with and without OIS when using a tripod and the non OIS shots were all superior. Tony

Problem solved.  They were there all along, I just couldn't see them.  The issue was that the date in the camera (which I bought used yesterday) was set to 2016 so they were right down the bottom ...
