I have started threads with my pictures, most of them are about astrophotography. I post those in the M43 subforum, since those are my favorite cameras to use for that. I've also posted rainbow ...

I have ZERO reason to post ANY links, you are an adult, find it for yourself. I own 8 telescopes and 8 cameras and that's enough. and I have no desire to post images in every post, I like ...

wow this is interesting..... how does 1/2 sec shutter speed at f/4 and ISO 4000 look just as dark as 1/2 sec shutter speed at f/22 and ISO 100?

I decided to stack an ND 16.6 stop filter with a UV/IR cut filter. Although I've seen plenty of pictures taken with just the ND 16.6 filter (and even just with an ND 15 stop filter) that didn't ...

It's difficult to focus digiscoping, My old Olympus C-7070 is supposed to have been one of the best cameras for it, but even with it, it's very difficult to do. It gives more magnification than ...

In case someone else wants it. I'm getting conflicting information about whether a UV/IR cut filter is even necessary for solar photography. This site says this: https://chaoticnebula.com/a-guide-t ...

It seems to be pretty good. In the end I bought from Amazon, but they both look to be good. The one I got was recommended on the M43 forum. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPXJP62Y?aref=IZhyKXacQj&aaxi ...

This is for photography ONLY-- no one will be using these for viewing. Your camera already has a built in blocker for IR/UV no further blocking is necessary. I just got one of these filters and I ...

I've seen many pictures taken with these filters and no one's sensor was cooked. B&H also did a video demonstration showing that IR/UV blocking is not necessary because our cameras have these ...

why is it so hard for people to put a camera in a camera bag? I have separate camera bags for all my cameras. You'd think if someone spends a 1000 on a camera, the least they could do is put it ...

-sigh- this is why I say Olympus cameras peaked with the Mark 2 series.....

I think that the Mark 2 of all the different series represented the peak of what Olympus cameras could do in regard to these measurements.

Thanks, well I already keep a UV protector on my camera lenses when I use them, so I think that takes care of that (and our lenses aren't sensitive to UV) so I just need to take care of the IR ...

larger front element is very important! a larger front element is a larger aperture! actually it's slang in photography to refer to f number as aperture, that is not aperture, it is focal ratio! ...

But wouldn't they want to get new younger users involved? I'd be ecstatic if they brought back the features that the EM10 II had that has still been left out of the IV..... having a new camera in ...

Thanks, can I also use this for my Cyberpower 1000AVR UPS?
-
I have lead acid batteries in my UPS and have no idea how to replace it or even when to do it. It's a Cyberpower 1000AVR I've had since 2018. It's saved my data several times, because this area ...

You made some really good points about what solar film can do better in terms of getting it on and off faster. I actually have solar film left over from the 2017 eclipse I might try to use. I ...
