Spendthrift: I'm sorry, while the lens looks to be excellent, even wide open, and the colors are very nice, I cannot understand why anyone would pay $6000 for a camera that has such horrible banding. You can spot it in the iso 1600 picture and it's in many of the the exposure corrected raws at iso 100. Big fail. My Df trounces this thing.

The iso 1600 isn't raw. When I referred to raw, I was talking about the iso 100 and 200 that were intentionally underexposed and then brought up in ACR.

Wow....that's sharp. It's hard to believe this is shot at f1.4.

I got to handle the Sigma 35 today on a 6D. I was surprised and impressed by the build and heft of the lens, and it was quite accurate on the 6D as well.

I will definitely be picking up one of these babies. And I don't understand the people complaining about softness...the ACR processed ones are quite sharp, even wide open. And I give a thumbs up to the photography in general. Bunch of whiny brats expecting nothing but top notch photographs....sheesh.
