I have nothing against the f2 Fujis, they're really excellent, but I'll put in a mention of the Viltrox 23/1.4 as I have it. I bought one when it came out last year as I liked it being AF and f1.4 ...

I have the XS10 and agree that C1-C4 is only of use for stills. This is annoying and seems like artificial limitation, I'd like to have some video custom settings. Hope they fix this in XS20.

I'd like to see 4k60, hopefully without crop, and the new AF options. Not fussed about 40mp although it's likely. Features like better EVF, weather sealing, dual slots etc would add real build ...

As a lockdown project I started delving into my boxes of slides and negatives. My setup is an XT2, later an X-S10, on a tripod pointing down at the film original resting on a small LED lightpad, ...

Thanks for the remarks. I'm not fussed about retro dials, I had many years of photography when dials were not retro at all and I get on with PASM just fine. And in a way I think new cameras *do* ...

At a university event for son #1 I met a Hong Kong guy who also had a Fuji, me X-S10, him XH2S, so we chatted. First time I've seen the XH2S, amazing bit of tech that I quite covet, but it's a big ...

No physical control on the camera body but apparently there is a touchscreen control.

If the complaint concerns stabilization, then IBIS certainly has its limits, impressive though it is. IBIS works well in handheld video if you're staying in one place. Try walking while filming ...

I've been playing with this the past few days and I really like it. Previously I've found converting colour negs to positives to be somewhat of a pain. This web tool is enjoyable to use for my low...

Well, yes and no. On the X-S10 I don't think it is possible to use C1-C4 to store video settings, I could not find a way to do that. But you can put a favourite stills mode on C4 which is only one ...

I have PSE2015 and it does not. It would be useful.

The thing about photographing the moon is that it's a landscape in full sunlight. Difficult to retain detail in that and also faint astronomical objects.

6:30pm in the evening! That was easy street. Nice photo though. I was up at 05:00 and it was -4C at that time where I am. What's interesting me about the Mars occultation photos emerging today is ...

I was up early this morning to see the occultation of Mars by the Moon. At my location it disappeared at 04:58 and reappeared at 06:00. The link below is a video of Mars re-emerging at 06:00 GMT. ...

Hey, that looks like it will be a lot of fun. Seriously, don't get hung up on the technicalities of video. All that stuff about shutter angle etc is absolutely irrelevant for digital video being ...

Won't there be stage lighting? That can be bright, also variable. My own approach is to stick the cam on P, let it handle the exposure so I can concentrate on framing. What are you doing about ...

When it comes to rainbows, no, there is not. The centre of a rainbow marks the direction precisely 180 degrees away from the sun. In this image the photographer has positioned the rainbow centrally...
-
The rainbow is centre of the image so the sun has to be exactly behind the photographer as that's how rainbows work, optically.

I think the in-camera processing has struggled with movement in the water. Anyway, a night-time photo (nice pic actually) with a 40mp camera; what's pixel-shift going to bring to the party? Not ...
