I agree the quality is quite good and reliably Sharp. I can spend a thousand to $2,000 per lens. I do think though this is their pricest lens by at least double so the strategy may be simply brand...

As ai Fuji owner, I invested in the system because it is cheaper overall....but it seems like a staggering price jump within the lens lineup.... I'll be quite honest that I actually hesitate to go...

Agree with most of the comments on this string. Forward looking statements without any hands on is hard to make the list especially with the disclaimer that you may change your mind. And I'm a Fuji...

Agree....using LR now with JPEGs....but happy so far....except in camera conversion is time consuming....

If it is a matter of plug, edit and save to desktop, it would save a time spent transferring files to LR ...or any other software...

No cost is worth the trial....
