I'm a big LR fan. I love the catalog. Their editing tools get the job done. Yes it can be slow for certain actions. But the database - catalog - is fast. I have ten years of photos, well over 150k, I can do a search on keywords very fast. I also like the folder structure is the same as in the OS itself.

Con: I NEVER use PS and never will. That means I'm paying $10 a month for LR. Since the full version cost $150 in 15 months I've paid the full version in sub fees and the sub fees never stop. I haven't seen Adobe really do any better at customer support with sub customers so what's the point.

Con: The new version of lr cc is for kids and their cellphone cameras. They could care less about keeping their pictures. They are strictly for the moment. It really looks like a version of Elements for LR.

It's simple they are trying to recharge the batteries to quickly which causes the batteries to over heat and some even to ignite.
