  • On my GM5, I find that it can be tricky using the EVF with glasses in bright sunlight. But I've used it to tracking landing Spitfires with good results, so can't be all that bad! Cheers, Paul
  • That's me overdoing clarity, possibly a bit too much! 100% in LR, then a grad-filter set to 100% clarity too... Cheers, Paul
  • Thanks! I intitially shot at 17.5mm, but found the 12mm gave me a better sense of scale and better leading lines - plus allowed me to grab more of the foreground. Cheers, Paul

A trip to London on Sunday yielded a number of good shots, but I was quite happy with this one in particular. National Theatre Cheers, Paul
  • Astrophotography at 3200 or 6400. Cheers, Paul
  • Well, sort of. Further testing shows that the pinpoint zoom focus only works when AFS/AFC are selected on the focus-lever. MF does not allow it. So while it is useful for autofocussing Olympus and ...

Meant to say, shot with the Panasonic Lumix f/1.4 25mm at f/1.8. So works well with a shallow depth of field. Good luck in your experiments! Cheers, Paul

I've also only used my G9 on a few occasions, still getting used to the change from my GH4. Tried some tracking the other day on the beach with my son, a very spritely 20-month-old. He came ...
  • For video, you should still be able to get some good performance out of the GH2 - particularly if you install one of the hacks. I'd definitely stick with looking at Panasonic around that era of ...
  • I really enjoy the monochrome thread that you set up for us on a weekly basis. I'd like to contribute more often, but time unfortunately gets away from me and therefore I'm unable to upload to ...
  • Wow! I've never considered using any of the C settings on the mode dial, so colour me impressed with the variety you've found! I'll have to dig around a bit more in the settings... Cheers, Paul

I like the image. Good colours and composition, a dynamic to the balance introduced by the leaning woman, and suitably popped from the background thanks to the shallow depth of field. Suitable as a ...
  • Ha! A good spot! It really does have a unique rendering though. When I shoot with my PL25 and LUMIX 42.5, I do often wonder what the Voigtlander equivalents would look like. Cheers, Paul
  • It rarely leaves my camera... As for the 10.5mm, I'd dearly love to have it. I need to replace my Oly 9-18mm, but need something slightly wider, so looks like it'll be the Laowa rather than the ...
  • All but one of those cameras has the old 12mp sensor - the G3 had a (at the time) new 16mp sensor in it. Cheers, Paul
  • I love it! Tempted to get the 25mm, but already have the PL25mm - not that I use it much since acquiring the Voigt! Cheers, Paul
  • Great selection of images, particularly enjoy the colour and composition of the first. Cheers, Paul
  • Brilliant! Textbook case of either a toddler's tantrum or passive resistance! Cheers, Paul
  • I had the opportunity to get out and about one evening with the G9. It had been raining hard most of the day, but thankfully stopped when I parked in Brighton. Lumix G9 and Voigtlander f0.95 17.5mm ...
  • As mentioned above, I think getting a camera with a 16mp sensor would be best. Although the 12mp sensors cameras give very nice colours in good light, they tend to struggle once you get towards ...
