I’ve noticed that my grandkids are starting to frown a lot when they see me pull the camera out. Maybe I should invest in the 63. :)

I wasn't going to post this, but Jim's Low Contrast thread gave me the courage to show what I was working on recently just because it's at the other end of the spectrum and an example of my reply ...

I very much like it. The blacks are there and so are the whites. I think it refreshingly realistic compared to the super contrasty, jumps off the led display, and slaps you in the face that most ...

I’ve actually found f9 to be the sweet spot with mine for when it matters. :)

Beautiful examples! I don’t hesitate to shoot the 100-200 wide open. While pixel peeping it is a tad sharper at f8 but like all the GF lens the primary reason for stopping down is to control dof.

I was just thinking about that. How most people would use this combination. When you live in a pine forest where the slope of the land is measured in inches per mile it’s hard to find anything ...

For this afternoon's walk I took the GF250 with the TC 1.4 for the first time. It was too early, too hot, and too windy to do much with it but at least I got a feel for what it's like to carry it ...

Same here. Point of diminishing returns???

I would never use the term “worst” in regards to the GF100-200. Least excellent maybe. :) Mine is an early vintage that I recently bought used from LensRentals. It’s got a lot of miles one it. It ...

Mine will show the blue fringing sometimes under extreme conditions too. Like a backlit tree with sun coming through holes in the leafs. But I’ve rarely seen it and only in the corners. No the ...
