davel33's current gear

Canon EOS R
Canon EOS R6
Canon RF 100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM
Its not a speed body but for landscape and portraits its GREAT :)
For the times I need speed/ low light this is my goto body.
I really like this lens. The focus is great, it's very fast and dead on with Nano focus, very sharp and weighs in at only 635g. Plus the 5.5/6 stops of IS is GREAT for an old man :)
Canon RF 14-35mm F4L IS USM
Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM
Canon RF 35mm F1.8 IS STM Macro
I find this a VERY good lens but a bit more money than I wanted to spend. I did a trade for 3 of my older EF lens's that I no longer used, and my EF 16-35 f4. I used the EF 16-35 and loved it but I found it a bit narrow. I found myself at the 16mm limit way to many times. The 14-35 is very sharp, even in the corners :) Plus it has Canon's NANO focus for near on to instant focus :)
The focus on this is VERY fast and dead on, thanks to NANO focus and 5 stops of IS is great for an old man :) This is a great vacation lens. I find it sharper then I expected :)
Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM
Canon RF 70-200 F4L IS USM
Canon RF 85mm F2 Macro IS STM
On my R6 with IBIS its a fun lens. My norm is to buy IS lens's but with the R6 it makes little difference.
This has to be one of the best 70-200 zooms made by anyone any where. It does have Canon's Nano focus tech for VERY fast and dead on focus :) Canon bumped the price on this to $1800.
A very good 85mm lens that has nice bokeh. Focus is not what you would call FAST but it gets the job done and is dead on with my R/R6.

Canon PowerShot S400 (Digital IXUS 400)
Canon PowerShot G1 X
Canon EOS 30D
Canon EOS 300D (EOS Digital Rebel / EOS Kiss Digital)
Canon EOS 350D (EOS Digital Rebel XT / EOS Kiss Digital N)
Canon EOS 7D
Power up took FOREVER :(
AWESOME camera for its time
Canon EOS Rebel SL1 (EOS 100D)
Canon EOS 70D
Canon EOS 7D Mark II
Great little DSLR, would still have but gave it to my daughter :)
Canon EOS M5
Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM
Canon EF 85mm F1.8 USM
The worst lens I have ever owned :(
A great bang for the buck lens with a few minor problems.
Canon EF-S 10-22mm F3.5-4.5 USM
Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM
Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG HSM
The boat anchor :(
I used this for 6 years. Was a great lens for event shooting :)
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM
Canon EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM
The copy I bought was somewhat sharp but after the recall, the copy I got back was no where near as good :(
The only problem I had with this lens was the IS noise when it engaged. When I shot an in door event when I did the half press to bring the IS online half the room would stop and look to the noise :( Replaced it with the RF 70-200 f4. With my R or R6 in silent mode, there is NO noise at all at any time :) OK maybe the noise from the flash when recharging.
Sigma 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC APO OS HSM
Canon EF-S 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM
AWESOME lens for a crop :)
So so lens but no place to put my left hand :)
Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM
Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
Canon EF 35mm F2 IS USM
Liked this lens a lot but with the 18-35 1.8 (which is sharper) and the Tamron SP 35 , I did not need this lens.
This was a great lens at the FL I wanted. My voyage of discovery for the perfect 35 for me started with the 35A then EF 35 IS next Trmron 35 SP ending with the RF 35 :)
Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art
Canon EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM
Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
This was an awesome lens but I moved to FF :(
I really loved this lens but I never used it enough to justify the cost.
Canon EF-S 10-18mm F4.5–5.6 IS STM
Canon EF 16-35mm F4L IS USM
Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C
Canon EF 50mm F1.8 STM
Tamron SP 35mm F1.8 Di VC USD
Canon EF-M 15-45mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM
Using a lens that needed an adapter that cost as much as the lens and doubles the size and weight just felt wrong :(
Sigma 50-100mm F1.8 DC HSM Art
Canon EF 24-105mm F4L IS II USM
Tamron SP 150-600mm F5-6.3 Di VC USD G2
Great lens but retired and don't have a use for it now. Sharpest lens I have ever owned.
Canon EF-M 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM
Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM
Canon EF 85mm F1.4L IS USM
It is a very good lens just not as good as the Tamron.
Great lens but sold it to help pay for the RF 70-200 f4 :)
Tamron 100-400mm F4.5-6.3 Di VC USD
Canon RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM
good lens just not as good as the RF 100-400.
