I tested this abomination on my D4 together with 4 other sigmas in the camera store expo with bunch of teps from different companies. All but 1 had serious focus issues. One would figure that at least the samples to show off to ppl would be cherry picked no??! No... thank you.

If i had to pick one FL? It would have to be the 35mm.
I like 24 35 and 50 or 28 50 and 85. With 35 you can shoot just about anything...

I was really close to pull the trigger... but then I came to my senses. Unless Sony produces even remotely reasonable lens line up for DX body whats the point. Glad i stuck with m43 . Home of awesome bodies and reasonably priced great selection of lenses... got 2 bodies and 2 great lenses for the price of one sony lol

On article Ultimate OM-D: Olympus E-M1 Mark II Review (1383 comments in total)

I think olympus really f...d up by not putting OLED EVF into this camera. As much thought and supposedly best of everything they supposedly put in it... $400 A6000 and $500 G7 do perfectly fine while using polarized glasses and this $2000 body is just as horrible in this aspect as the older one. Viewfinder was excellent on the original em1.?!? Yea right. Better luck next time olympus... maybe if you charge $2500 next time around your EVF will be usable :/

Well damn Sony... 1400$ for dx sensor body and touchscreen sucks. The 400$ panasonic G7 is awesome in this aspect. I used nex 5n for about a year while back where there were like 5 lenses available total. I looked really hard into sony again with a6000 ...then 6300 now 6500. but its always something. Overheating... battery draining when off... menus are nightmare... not easy or now obviously reliable focus point selection etc. I wish they made about 1000$ or less body that not only has excellent IQ but also functionality and is user friendly . Obviously its not happening anytime soon. They had 5th try now if I only count Nex 6 and up...

Olympus has officially lost their mind... no matter how cool and awesome the camera may be, m4/3 sensor is m4/3 sensor and will NEVER match full frame ones. $2000 price is insane when you can get awesome new in box FX D750 for example( which i own) for 200 less now...
I shot and owned just about any sensor size cameras my current kit is d750 and bunch of lenses, g7 and 5 lenses and nikon j5. Sold 2 fujis .
No matter how good the m43 camera is IQ will never equal full frame . The dynamic range and iso performance is just not there. And never will be.( physics) .
Dont get me wrong i have fun shooting with just about anything even with my j5 but olympus may have set their ambitions and prices little too high this time. Market is very competitve...
Would i like to have it? Sure... but would i sell my fx nikon and spend same money on this camera ? No freaking way.

Looks nice but not having a dedicated controller is a major issue ( for me) i know many casual users will be perfectly happy with phone or tablet virtual sticks but for someone who spent 100s of hrs flying RC stuff controller is a must

That looks really cool. I've been wanting one for like 3 yrs now. Phantom 2 3 4 then yuneec 500, blade chroma... but this one might be the one :D portability is huge plus .This could fit in my small manfrotto backpack after taking out couple lenses while still have room for nikon fx and 2 or 3 lenses.
BUT... the infamous DJI customer support and service ( or lack of actually) make me wonder if dji is the right company to fork out 1299 to...

PanchoVilla: Love the X-E2 and the X-E2S! Better than any of those puny sensor M43 cameras. I don't even know why anyone bothers to shoot with that small sensor anyways! Fuji X-Trans is even better than FF!

I really want some of that what you are on right about now. I had nikon 1 fuji xt10 and xt1 g7 and d750 until recently. Sold the fujis and lenses with NO regrets. Others stayed for different purposes. Actually panasonic G7 is much more enjoyable camera and much better value then any fuji 16mp ones and results are excellent .
And no... it doesnt come close to FX nikon sensor :/

Major downfall is ergonomics. While specs are impressive im really disappointed fuji didnt redesign the body of the camera. I had xt10 and xt1 and they just were not comfortable in hand. You cant make DSLRish style body ( again) and but same subpar front grip on same annoying as hell strap holder that constantly pokes you into your palm between thumb and index finger , same ( or very similar) thumb grip and worst of all put shutter button on the very top ... if as much thought went to body of the camera itself as did into its guts it would have been amazing.
Shutter button is in unnatural place just like first sony a7 series was. ON TOP where you need to constantly twist your wrist trying to reach it comfortably :/
Front grip needs to be beefier and shutter button more forward like panasonic gx8 sony a6000 or a7II etc.
I had lensmate thumbgrip thing on my xt1 and while it made it little better it was still quite uncomfortable to hold for longer periods of time = not enjoyable to shoot with.
Too bad as I loved the lenses....

Cool and interesting lens... but I think high quality fast 28mm eqv or 35mm eqv would have been much more welcome and better seller as overall much mote useful focal length.
I just got the 15 1.7 and if panasonic made 28 ,30 or 35 with F1.2 or 1.4 amd added OIS that would have been awesome.

On article DxO OpticsPro 11 brings advanced Raw noise reduction (109 comments in total)

Where DXO fails compared to LR is selective editing. LR adjustment brush and couple other features make it much better single tool for editing photos despite DXO producing slightly better results in image rendering and much better results with lens profiles and corrections.
If i edit raw photo i go to LR make basic adjustments and usualy from there finish it in photoshop. If only jpg i just go to photoshop because of powerful plugins and brushes.
DxO is like ferrari with cheapest walmart tires on . Add control points like niksoftware has and/or advanced brush tools and it will be the king.

I did have nex 5n in the past. Enjoyed it but sold for horrible focus performance
Id go to sony again but at this price point sony should really revamp the menus add touchscreen and mostly importantly IBIS.
THAT would be a camera i would have no problem buying.
As it stands... market is very competitive nowadays and there seem to be better options overall

Such as pretty much anything else mirrorless out there that has much better lens selection.
I dont need or want 4k in the camera i dont care about video. I buy camera to take photos. Wish sony omitted stuffing 4k into cameras that overheat after short while anyway and include better features for actual photography

Looks good. However I wish they made it just as plain and simple as the original one. The front looks cool but to and back is way to cluttered which kinda takes away from the sleek good looks of the front.
I could do with just touchscreen and couple buttons.
But overall great job Olympus.

now we are waiting for the new version of the D700 - the D5 sans hand grip.

Sorry D810/D750/D610 users your cameras is just about being superseded.

As a current D800 user I am eagerly awaiting the next D8xx/D900 upgrade

I love my d750. Best overall camera ive ever had. ( size, mp, iso performance, dr etc...)
Only thing that is really appealing is the auto lens AF tune. That id love to have and use ( for lenses like 24 1.4G )
