Is the weight including the ballhead?

Good points Kenw. You have me rethinking about getting a Z7II. I'm coming from a D750 and do a lot of landscape as well as wildlife. I'm hoping the Z7II will have better AF, but that's still an ...

Meanwhile, the Sigma 135mm is excellent.

@reilly diefenbach Did you really think the 2 should be the same? One is for travel and has design compromises to do just that! fwiw, it's still an excellent lens.
-
@grapejam you mean like the RF 70-200mm that CAN'T take a TC? That's a seriously stupid compromise just to make it compact. They should do that with the f4 version, not the pro level f2.8.

Glad you have your priorities figured out.

Sorry, those days are long gone. You can't buy anything decent under $1500. I wouldn't expect consistency until you go over 2k. The realities is that most people don't look that close to notice...

OK. go pat yourself on the back.

Grip looks big because camera is smaller. Function over form. It has to fit the hand.

@Lan I'm the kind of photographer that returns to the same spot over and over. I see different things every time. I normally spend maybe 90% of post processing with Lightroom and only 10% with...

I read the comments and I think it the responses boils down to whether you see a photo as documentary or art.

Why do people hate this? I've been shooting for decades and it's still fun to play with things. Don't use it if you don't feel it benefits your image. I've never used this, but it does look like...

@idaho_x you're absolutely right. I'm a Nikon shooter and am familiar with the ecosystem. I like the controls and even the current offering is fine for what I need it to do. I don't want to relearn...

Sony boys complains the most. Get out and shoot!

I have tried 3rd party grip and found it unreliable. I went back to Nikon OE grip. Same thing can be said of batteries. I've heard so many horror stories about batteries killing the camera ...

I'll give you the answer when you can tell me how how many more cameras Nikon sold because they didn't make a grip. You can't. Personally, I own a D750 and have been looking to upgrade. The D780 ...

Those that argue that it's not profitable to make grips is not looking at the bigger picture. There are many items that are copied and have been sold cheap. It doesn't mean they shouldn't be ...

I have Nikon 85mm and also the Sigma 135. I really like both of these, but found I'm using the 85mm almost 4 times as frequently. The working distance and my shooting style calls more for this ...

Great info. These cameras live on high ISO. No one buy these to shoot at ISO 100. Birding, sports, venues, it's usually going to be above ISO 800. D5 is the choice for these situations.

@TN Args are you blind? Nikon D5 beats it easily in jpg and raw. Heck, even the D750 is better. D850 doesn't figure into this. Totally different beast.
