They will still have to buy the sensor from Sony(?), and how much would that be, 1k? The Zeiss lens another 1k wholesale. At least Android is free, the Adobe SW 0.5k perpetual license, downgrade the other hardware so maybe another 0.5k. You have 3k factory cost +20% GPM wholesale, so around 3.5K website direct or same price thru countless dealers in eB. Would you buy this for 3.5k under a Chinese brand name?
This Zeiss is fully made in China

Better quality and much better camera functions, lots of manual functions and very very fast.in low light much better if you use HDR.

Sonys Zeiss is unknown,maybe coproduction with Cosina,nobody knows.
But it´s for 100% otthe old Minolta plant in North Japan,the Zeiss lenses are not Made in Japan.
Maybe Tamron,cause Tamron is the Producer of every current Sony lens foe Alpha Systems.
