Yes, EFCS is a good compromise with no limitation, except for bokeh (> 1/1000), but it use mechanical shutter
-
I know, like flash, this is why the mechanical shutter is always useful
-
Rollin shutter for moving subject, banding for artificial light (or use anti-flicker), for use flash, for long exposure, for 14 bits RAW and have the best DR. for 12 fps or less
-
RF 800 has slightly better contrast and better resolution at the center
-
RF 800 is probably better, I found it sharp, and it's much lighter : 1260g VS 2075g (1640 + 325 + 110)
-
I've replaced my 100-400 C Sigma with the RF 100-400 and i don't find they're so different for the bokeh rendition (and the Canon is sharper), RF 800mm F11 seems better.

it's only true with EF lenses
-
For your R6 no, except you expose sensor with dusts, but with some EF IS lenses you can damage stabilization, power down is more safe
-
With EF lenses you don't have stabilization synchronization, it's not really different with optic stabilization alone (only IBIS 3 axes works), and sadly you can't have IBIS alone...

For "magic" rendering and full body shoot a used EF 135 L F2 or EF 85 L F1.2
-
Because i didn't bought it for that, it's the best macro lens i've used and i'm sure it's good for portraits (like the EF), but i've already the 85 F2 and the 135 L F2 , the first for indoor ...

My RF 100 L has replaced a EF 100 L ;-), the RF is sharper at F2.8 and probably equal at the others apertures in the center, but the RF is incredibly good at the borders and corners, even wide ...
-
I've both too and not the same experience, my 85 F2 is not as sharp at F2 than my RF 100 L at F2.8, but at the same apertures he seem always sharper (at the center), even the RF 100 L is a very ...
-
85 F2 is very sharp, sharper than 35 F1.8, and you know STM motor (not very fast and not silent), it's a good portrait lens, but the 135 L F2 is a amazing lens, maybe not the sharpest, but if you ...
-
Did you try it ? It's not the EF 50 F1.8 II, my RF 50 F1.8 is sharp at the center at F1.8, maybe a little bit less than my 35 STM but perfectly useable, and just not only the very very center like ...
-
The Nikon is much bigger (and not small for a 50 F1.8) and the price isn't the same : https://j.mp/3zq1euA The RF 50 F1.8 is not a bad lense at all, it's sharp at the center even at F1.8 (if the ...

i'm not sure if EF 100-400 V1 is weather-sealed, for example EF 300 L F4 IS or 400 L 5.6 (same generation) aren't. I think RF 100-400 is a better choice, much lighter, much better stabilization and ...

only internal zoom can really prevent dust, i've had several weather-sealed zooms like this with dust, and personally i use a protector filter on my zoom
