My 2020 Intel Mac Mini with 64Gb Ram runs the pants off of my 2013 Trashcan with the same amount of Ram. I was really surprised at the difference. Using some of the speed tests available online I ...

What is a backup then because that’s true whether you’re using a Raid 1 mirror or two separate drives?

You might give this a try. https://www.redrivercatalog.com/infocenter/tips/limited-custom-borderless-epson-printers.html

That was true on my 4800 as well but that’s not the same on my P5000. On that the roll paper holder is not designed to be easily removable. Not saying it can’t be done, just that Epson didn’t ...

Disk Utility can see your drive whether it’s mounted or not. If it was grayed out it was not mounted. There would have been an option at the top of the Disk Utility window to mount the grayed out ...

I backup with Time Machine to an encrypted drive. Access to the drive is normal unless either it or my computer is shut down and then the password is needed to get back into it.

I'm not sure how saving the Raw files separately saves any space. If I'm going to keep them anyway why not just have them in the same file? The DNG format also means I don't have to keep track of ...

I use Adobe DNG Converter and use the option to embed the RAW file within the DNG. I’ve handled my RAW files this way since DNG became available.

It’s not. Spectraview calibrates the monitor internally, something the X-Rite software doesn’t do. If Spectraview doesn’t get fixed I’ll use X-Rite i1Publish to calibrate my monitor but the ...

Spectraview is software. NEC sells a spectrophotometer that is made by X-Rite to use with Spectraview but I’m under the impression that the problem is with the software not the hardware. As far as ...

You and I disagree on the amount of enthusiasm that Apple will have towards fixing third party software. No need to get snotty about it.

It does work with the NEC display. And it also works with solutions that are capable of calibrating the NEC display. It just doesn’t work with NEC’s solution. I hope at some point that it does ...

I guess I just don’t see why Apple would care one way or another whether Spectraview ran on their platform or spend any of their time and resources getting it to work. It’s not one of their ...

I’m not sure why NEC thinks there’s any chance Apple is going to do anything to fix their software. Apple certainly has no history of that, it’s not their problem. In any event, I hope someone ...

I was hoping for an answer to the same question as my main computer is on Catalina and I use SpectraView to calibrate my NEC PA272. I have a 2014 Mac Mini whose sole purpose is to run Roon Server ...

Well, your response to the topic of this thread, does Spectraview run under Big Sur was “Works fine under Mojave for me”. That does seem a little irrelevant
