plantdoc: Rather overpriced and somewhat disappointing. Other than the overwhelming app store, the new Kindle Fire HD is quite impressive for just $199, especially if you buy into the Amazon Prime for videos, storage, and 2 day shipping. Also, the Kindle doesn't require managing everything through Itunes or similar "locked down" software. Photos on the Fire look quite good, but the wide screen does leave black bars unless you re-crop. With Flash memory virtually dirt cheap, buying a high memory model must be a big profit bonus.

Not my idea of "No heavy post-processing." This is an invitation to discuss definitions of "heavy post-processing" and resulting voting patterns, NOT a criticism of this particular image's visual effectiveness.

What do you think? Agree or disagree?

On photo Cambridge, UK in the College Towns challenge (6 comments in total)

"Show off your favorite college town, not a college campus." So the rules said. But is this the campus or the town? Never having visited Cambridge I honestly don't know. Those who know Cambridge well, please reply.

What I found odd about this challenge is that most of the top ranked images (e.g. 1, 2, 4, and maybe 3) sure look like the "college campus" to me. Perhaps I misunderstood something?
