Let’s assume just the equivalent image at 3000mm. The equivalent zoom is not remotely practical. The difference in resolution is hardly a “detail”. People get this wrong all the time. A simple example.
-
You are ignoring, among other factors, the differences in resolution between the two cameras. If the goal is to match the output, more or less, you have to take this into account, right?
-
“Crop factor” can only be understood in the context of pixel density, noise, dynamic range, diffraction, etc. The question here should be what focal length lens on the Panasonic could generate an ...

The word is “transmission”. The DXO transmission numbers have been criticized in the past.

The math looks good, so more like a fifth of a stop.

Thank you, Jim, for sharing this.

Wow - nice ones are selling for up to $3,500 on ebay.

Very nice. I long lusted after a Plaubel Makina, with an 80mm Nikkor?

They seemed to have focused on video, where higher MP is not so helpful. Is this the end of the stills-focused Sony? If so, will this slow or stop their development of higher MP sensors, outside ...

Hello Correne, Welcome to the forum! The brass insert is 1/4” -20, the standard, small tripod mount. Removing that reveals a standard 3/8” tripod socket. The tripod or head will screw into this ...

There are monochrome astro and scientific cams with the Sony 3.76µm 26, 60, 100, and 150 MP sensors. A limited edition 100M would be very interesting.

Developing the circuitry and thermal package to deal with a new, 150 MP sensor is a significant leap for a company that has struggled with buggy firmware on a 50 MP camera. As you said elsewhere, ...

It is ambiguous, but appears to be a free one day rental. Fuji’s $199/day rental “value” is ludicrous, however - Lenstrentals is $211/week = $30/day.

The lenses for m4/3 are designed to cover a much smaller sensor, so even if you found an adapter, the image would cover only the center of the sensor.

Here is a direct link to the $2,600 Epson Artisan 1430. As was said, this printer sells into the small commercial screen-printing market, where the image and build quality are sought after, hence ...

ebay collects substantial commissions on every sale. Can you elaborate on how your imagined scheme pays off? Are you thinking that the conmen run several fake sales, paying a commission to ebay on ...
-
Apparently you missed the part where I said it was a sale. ; ) Your suspicion would be incorrect. At the top, it says “Sold Apr 28, 2022”. The green font on the price reflects a sale as opposed to ...

The seller accepts offers, so perhaps not as insane as all that. FWIW a BNIB Epson 1430 printer just went for $2,600 , though these are selling into the screen-printing market.
